The Blind Obedience tour makes a stop in Anaheim with support from Periphery and Loathe. Underoath, metalcore legends from Tampa, Florida have been making music for more than two decades and still continue to sell out venues because of their devoted fanbase. After releasing their critically acclaimed record in 2020, this U.K band has been nonstop touring to bring their unique sound that combines shoegaze and metalcore with a dash of nu-metal. Orange County welcomed the U.K natives with open arms and how could you not when you mix heart pounding metal with the beautifully melodic arrangements that they have put together. Following up Loathe is the Grammy nominated experimental metal outfit Periphery. Delivering a sound like no other that pushes boundaries with Spencer’s vocals being able to deliver a range that you dont hear often in metal. What a way to warm up the crowd for Underoath because you can just feel the excitement brewing. With everybody packed in the room like sardines, the lights go out and you immediately feel the music being pumped through the House of Blues.

With strobing lights and the constant jumping and running around the stage like madmen making for an exciting and engaging show that Anaheim showed up for. Spencer Chamberlain has the vocal ability to reach his screaming lows to belting out the highs that he is known for. With crowdsurfing and mosh pits immediately breaking out to a hit filled set list that included songs from their entire discography. With a majority of songs coming from arguably their biggest album “ They’re Only Chasing Safety” which left the fans extremely satisfied. After 20 plus years of being a band the Florida natives sounded better than ever. Finishing off the night with one of their biggest songs to date “ Writing On The Walls” had the crowd absolutely explode into excitement and sing along to a memory from their youth. Underoath is making their way across the U.S and highly suggest that you check them live biggest not only do they put on one hell of show but with Loathe and Periphery tagging along to help create a solid tour that you cannot miss.
