A quick back story on Castrator: They are an all female squad that was established in 2013 and their sound is described as emasculating death metal.

HOLY OMFG!!! Where have these females been all my life! Stand aside the new Messiahs of death metal has arrived!  Are you ready world?

As I sit here listening to the "No Victim" Debut EP, I am literally opened mouth took me over an hour just to begin writing anything after muttering, "HOLY ****" etc., etc. to myself multiple times. I have the 4 songs going on repeat on my computer right now and its on like its 25th replay.

How I start off reviewing an album is I listen to the music first before I fully read anything about the band itself. When I first listened to this debut, I honestly can say I had no idea it was a quad of females...and I mean that in the most respectful way possibly...there is nothing feminine or soft sounding about these girls. After I heard the beginning of the first song, Honor Killing,  I had to stop and go check out the Castrator Facebook page to try and see pictures of these remarkable individuals and to hear such intense sounds coming out of such beautiful women is truly amazing and empowering to all women in the metal scene everywhere. I have never, never, ever heard such an intensely brutal and talented bunch of females or even males in the death metal seen in my entire life. Honestly, Six Feet Under and Cannibal out Gents, these ladies are going to give you a run for your money or knock your asses off the death metal throne (and you know how much I love and respect Six Feet Under and Cannibal Corpse).

The vocalist simply listed as M.S, what a voice, so brutal and guttural in the very best sense . The deeply brutal sound that eminates from this woman can only come from the depths of ones soul...she is more talented then pretty much any other death metal or dare I say, metal vocalist (male or female) I have heard to date. The guitarists and bass player (Raven - lead guitar, M.D. Åkesson - rhythm guitar, R.M. - bass) nothing but pure magic, dropped down from the gods of metal themselves, is coming from their fingers, I can't even fully describe how much I love the string instruments in this album. The drummer, C. wow.

I can't even say enough good things or fully describe the journey these gals will take you on. But seriously, if you love the greats like Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Suffocation, Morbid Angel, Dying Fetus and the likes, then you MUST check out Castrator. I would count this group in the same standing as the before mentioned and longer established bands and they (Castrastor, have only been together since 2013) are only going to get better with time which is completely mind blowing in itself. To be real with you, I'm not even sure if they can get any better because THEY ARE THAT DAMN B.S.
What a debut EP! I really wish it was longer than 4 songs...I am vibrating in anticipation for the next album that these women release and I honestly hope that if any of the members end up reading this article that you will come to Seattle or Tacoma, Washington and play a show!
