Earthside is a progressive/experimental band out of New Haven, Connecticut.

The band recorded their debut album "A Dream in Static" at Ghost Ward and Fascination Street Studios just outside of Stockholm, Sweden with renowned producers David Castillo (Katatonia/Opeth/Novembre) and Jens Bogren (Opeth/Soilwork/Symphony X/Devin Townsend).

The debut album will feature a number of noteworthy guest performances, and is soon to be released for your enjoyment.  The impressive line-up for some of the vocals consists of: Daniel Tompkins (TesseracT), Bjorn Strid (Soilwork), and Lajon Witherspoon (Sevendust) and Eric Zirlinger (Face the King, ex-Seer). The orchestral scores were crafted in Russia with the Moscow Studio Symphony Orchestra (MSSO), I think this album will amaze a lot of you out there, half instrumental, half “traditional” (vocals/lyrics). What also helps to create such an album is renowned producer David Castillo (Opeth, Katatonia, Bloodbath), with additional mixing and mastering done by Jens Borgren (Opeth, Soilwork, The Ocean and Devin Townsend). Impressive in itself here.

For me, I am going to say, a few of you metalheads will take a couple of times listening to really appreciate the depth here. But sit back, take it all in, enjoy the diversity of this album and all that went into it. I didn’t know what to expect as the band is an unknown for me, take my word for it though, this is something that delivers another element. I am impressed.

Take a chance, if you only listen to one band that you have never listened to before, then let me suggest ‘Earthside’ and their debut album “A Dream in Static”.
