SABATON RELEASE NEW SONG AND ANNOUNCE UPCOMING TOUR

Bassist Pär Sundström comments: "We choose “Fields of Verdun” to be the first single since we felt it represent the album perfect, a classic SABATON metal song which we cannot wait to include in the future setlists.

The story of the battle of Verdun is also very representative for the album since it has all elements that identifies with ‘The Great War’. Verdun is so much WW1 that we decided to hold the first album presentation in this city, inviting journalists from around the world to not just hear the album, but also understand the story behind it.

It is the first single from the upcoming album even if we just released 'Bismarck', but that song is not from the upcoming album. We decided to write 'Bismarck' outside the album since the story does not connect to WW1 and also that it was recorded at a different time. The meaning of this song was a tribute to all fans who have contributed over the years by sending us ideas for future songs, please continue with that!"

SABATON’s ninth full-length record, that will see the light of day right in time for the band's 20th anniversary, will be a concept album based on events during the First World War.

Watch the first trailer for the album, in which bassist Pär Sundström and historian Indy Neidell discuss the new record: https://youtu.be/VqbcvI2BgSk

The band started the recordings exactly 100 years after the end of the First World War (11/11/1918) and took 3 months of intensive work to complete the album together with their long term producer and partner Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge studios. Furthermore, the album has been mastered by Maor Appelbaum and the artwork was once again created by Peter Sallaí.

"This is not the first time we have sung about stories from this period in time, but now we felt the timing was right to make a full concept album about this war," explain the band.

SABATON posted this trailer revealing more details about the amazing artwork - watch it here: https://youtu.be/HCZP1-JsD0M

Alongside the album, the Swedes have worked hard to make their 20th year anniversary a very exciting year, and also started the SABATON History Channel - a unique collaboration between the band themselves and multimedia historians Indy Neidell and Timeghost -capturing the power of social media to tell stories about the wars, battles and heroes behind SABATON’s songs. Subscribe to the YouTube channel via this link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaG4CBbZih6nLzD08bTBGfw

“This is the biggest album we have taken on so far. There is more depth and story around the songs that we have ever had before," Pär Sundström announces. "Expect many surprises as we have tried new things and we also went back in time to a concept we know a lot of you love. The Great War has been created side by side with the Sabaton History Channel to make 2019 the most exciting year in our 20 year history.”

Since 1991, Hate have lived up to their name, responsible for some of the angriest and most ruthless death metal unleashed upon the world. With 2017's Tremendum, they took a step toward a darker, more atmospheric, black metal-oriented style and began exploring Slavonic mysticism, and new album Auric Gates Of Veles boldly continues in that direction. "We wanted to go deeper into the subject, both musically and lyrically," asserts vocalist/guitarist ATF Sinner. "We also wanted to record a sharper and better defined rhythm section, a more death metal-oriented one. When it comes to guitar sound, it was meant to be a wall of sonic destruction with dark ambient elements in the background." To say that they achieved that which they set out to create is an understatement, for Auric Gates Of Veles is a titanic record that is both more organic and dynamic sounding, and may well be the finest of their storied career.

With the ominous rumble that heralds the commencement of opener "Seventh Manvantara" giving way to a squall of guitars and blastbeats, it is clear that Hate are playing at the top of their game. Progressing through the rampant thrashing and wide open spaces of "The Volga's Veins", the haunting, crushing grooves of the title track, the equally sinister and tragic sounds of "Salve Ignis" and concluding with the raw black metal of closer "Generation Sulphur", it is a diverse record, not content to rehash the same idea eight times. The centerpiece of the album is arguably the six and a half minute epic thunder of "Sovereign Sanctity", which demands the full attention of the listener from start to finish. "We wanted the songs to sound like anthems, and 'Sovereign Sanctity' is a perfect example of such a song. I think it's also one of the best we have written in years," Sinner states.

HAMMERFALL NEW ALBUM 'DOMINION' OUT THIS SUMMER
HAMMERFALL will release a new album titled "DOMINION" on 16th August 2019 via Napalm Records. The group unleashed “(We Make) Sweden Rock” – the first single off "DOMINION" today. Listen to “(We Make) Sweden Rock” HERE and purchase/stream the new song digitally HERE.

JOACIM CANS describes the creation of “(We Make) Sweden Rock,” “This is a glorious tribute to the Swedish hard rock and metal movement with a lyrical theme using direct references to both other bands and songs. With catchy contagious riffs and enchanting (ear-worm) melodies this song will be an instant classic at future HammerFall shows. Without the Swedish rock and metal scene with bands like Heavy Load, At the Gates and Yngwie Malmsteen the world would be a pretty boring and dull place! This is our noble tribute to all the bands that inspired not only us to play metal, form bands and eventually crusading around the world in the name of Heavy Metal. All hail the sons of the northern light! “

"DOMINION" is HAMMERFALL’s eleventh studio album, and second with Napalm Records. Today, Friday May 3rd, Napalm has launched a physical preorder for "DOMINION" including CD, Vinyl, and a limited edition Deluxe Box Set consisting of a digipack, limited 7” light blue vinyl, limited cassette, cover art print, photo cards, patch and sticker. To view a variety of the "DOMINION" merchandise: http://www.hammerfall.net

The band has also unveiled the album cover art and tracklisting for "DOMINION." The artwork was created by renowned visual artist Samwise Didier. View the cover art and track listing below.

"DOMINION" cover art created by Samwise Didier.

The following is the track listing for "DOMINION":

6. Second to One
7. Scars of a Generation
8. Dead by Dawn
9. Battleworn

12. And Yet I Smile

For "DOMINION," HAMMERFALL re-teamed with James Michael to do vocals at Red Level Three studios, and Fredrik Nordström of Studio Fredman at Castle Black Studios for the instruments on the powerful 12 song collection. OSCAR DRONJAK states:

" ‘Good is not good enough; it has to be great.’ This is the mantra we have applied to every aspect of making this album, from the song writing and rehearsals to the production and the performance of each member. The result is "DOMINION," a powerful force of nature that cannot be stopped. Once you hear it, you will understand.”

The band’s summer touring starts with Domination Festival in Mexico City and crosses Europe throughout summer 2019, including stops at the legendary Sweden Rock Festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, and Wacken Open Air. OZZY OSBOURNE POSTPONES 2019 TOUR DATES
OZZY OSBOURNE will postpone all his 2019 tour dates, inclusive of shows in North America and Europe, as he recovers from an injury sustained while dealing with his recent bout of pneumonia. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy®-winning singer and songwriter and 2019 Grammy® Special Merit Award recipient fell at his Los Angeles home aggravating years-old injuries (from his 2003 ATV accident) that required surgery last month. OSBOURNE will remain under doctor's care in Los Angeles as he recovers.

Says OZZY: "I can't believe I have to reschedule more tour dates. Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now. I'm grateful for the love and support I'm getting from my family, my band, friends and fans, it's really what's keeping me going. Just know that I am getting better every day...I will fully recover...I will finish my tour...I will be back!"

The shows will be rescheduled beginning in February 2020 and concert-goers are being asked to hold onto their original tickets, as they will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Because some of the 2019 dates were festival appearances, not all will be rescheduled.  Below are the new North American dates; the Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl show will be rescheduled in July 2020, exact date TBA. The 2020 UK and European dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

AMON AMARTH UNVEIL NEW ALBUM DETAILS AND MORE
On May 3rd, Amon Amarth will release their 11th full-length, Berserker, via Metal Blade Records (North America)/Sony Music (International)! For a preview of the album, the video for the first single, "Raven's Flight", can be viewed at: http://www.amonamarth.com
Directed by Roboshobo, "Raven's Flight" will be the first of a trilogy of music videos from Berserker, each one increasingly epic in its scope, further immersing the viewer in the world of Amon Amarth. Much like the songs on Berserker, the videos present Amon Amarth to its fullest. The cast features Josh Barnett as "the Berserker" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Barnett) and Erick Rowan as "Thor" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erick_Rowan), among others.

To pre-order Berserker, please visit amonamarth.lnk.to/berserker - where the album is available in the following formats:
--digipak-CD
--deluxe box set [digipak-CD, shield (~12"x12"), patch (~4"x4") - limited to 500 copies in US]
--opaque white w/ black splatter vinyl (limited to 1200 copies)
--opaque white w/ silver haze vinyl (retail exclusive - limited to 1300 copies)
--clear w/ red splatter vinyl (webstore exclusive - limited to 750 copies)
--black w/ red haze vinyl (webstore exclusive - limited to 750 copies)

Comprising 12 monstrous heavy metal anthems that bulge with irresistible melodic hooks, bursts of thrilling savagery and moments of spine-tingling dynamic drama, Berserker is the result of the huge surge of creativity and a collective desire to keep moving forward with no compromise. From the disarming melodrama and explosive riffing of opener "Fafner's Gold" and the brutish simplicity of the rampaging "Crack The Sky" to the epic fury of "Raven's Flight" and the grim, gritty storytelling of "Ironside" and "Skoll and Hati", Berserker is an album full of trademark Amon Amarth bluster and bite but with every aspect of the band's sound somehow refined, sonically enhanced and made vastly more potent, both in terms of metal oomph and emotional power. Neatly summing up the spirit behind these exhilarating new songs is the album's semi-title track, "The Berserker At Stamford Bridge": a visceral but vivid historical tale, recounting the Vikings last stand against the English army in 1066 and the mind-bending heroics of one axe-wielding warrior.

Showcasing an undeniable and startling upgrade for every aspect of Amon Amarth's iconic sound, Berserker was recorded in Los Angeles with renowned studio guru Jay Ruston (Anthrax/Stone Sour) manning the controls. After recording several rounds of professional demos for the new songs (initially with fellow Swedish metal icon Peter Tägtgren and then later with Ruston himself) the band crossed the Atlantic to make final the recordings in LA, eager to take a fresh approach to the album-making process.

"For me, this is Amon Amarth 2.0," vocalist Johan Hegg declares. "I think what we've done here is give ourselves the space to explore other parts of our musicality and who we are as a band. If you're content with where you're at, what's the point of continuing? We always want to come up with new ideas and find new ways of doing things and to create bigger and better shows and really try to improve every aspect of what the band is. We want to try to keep growing and to do this for as long as we have the possibility to do so, because this is the best fucking job in the world."

The cast for "Raven's Flight" also features Tess Kielhammer as "Demon Boss" (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4178569/), Shanie Rusth as "Shield Maiden" (https://www.herexchange.net/her-story/2018/9/11/shanie-rusth), Erik Arevalo (https://www.instagram.com/theerikhammer/?hl=en), Victor Henry (https://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Victor-Henry-52195), and Canadian WWE legend Viktor as "Demon Henchman" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viktor), and many more.

Gaahls WYRD, fronted by legendary black metal vocalist, frontman, artist and composer Gaahl, will release their highly anticipated debut album ‘GastiR – Ghosts invited’, via Season of Mist on May 31st.

Gaahl is known as one of Norway’s most talked about and respected extreme metal musicians. His work with TRELLDOM, GORGOROTH, WARDRUNA and GOD SEED has been widely regarded as some of the best the black metal scene has had to offer.

Under the moniker Gaahls WYRD, the vocalist assembled some of Norway’s finest metal musicians. The band consist of Ole Walaunet (The Batallion, God Seed, Grimfist), Frode Kilvik (Krakow, Aeternus) and Kevin Kvåle (Horizon Ablaze). This highly qualified bunch has recently toured a finely selected, career spanning repertoire from Gaahl’s time in TRELLDOM, GORGOROTH and GOD SEED to great acclaim.

Having recorded their first full length in Solslottet Studios in Norway with Iver Sandøy (ENSLAVED) last year, the musicians are now ready to bestow their own unique take on extreme metal upon the masses.

Those who are expecting a blasting black metal offering are in for something unexpected. Even though ‘GastiR – Ghosts invited’ is firmly rooted in extreme metal, Gaahl’s vocal delivery on this record is something out of the ordinary and the first class riffing in combination with the excellent musicianship is bound to take you places you’ve never been before.

CELESTIAL RUIN SEARCHING FOR NEW DRUMMER

HARD ROCK BAND SEEKS PROFESSIONAL DRUMMER

Professional hardrock band .@Celestial Ruin is seeking an immediate replacement for their drummer.
CR has been performing and touring together since 2011. They have released two albums, the most recent being produced by Joost Van Den Broek (Xandira, Epica, Powerwolf, ReVamp). Their single “Sense of Exile” has over 420,000 plays on Spotify.
The band is scheduled to record new music in Los Angeles this May with Grammy winning producer Mike Plotnikoff (Hollywood Vampires, Halestorm, Three Days Grace). The band is currently going in a more “North American rock” and less “European” direction for the new album.
The ideal candidate will possess/be able to do the following;

Able to travel (valid passport and no criminal background) Must be available to travel May 16th-24th for recording in LA.
Professional/ tour ready drum kit
Experience working with/using backing tracks
Can commit to our 3 night a week rehearsal schedule at our space in Clayton Heights.
The current schedule Monday, Tuesday, Saturdays 7pm-10pm (may be possible to adjust rehearsal dates)
Have a reliable vehicle to attend rehearsals and a clean driving record to help drive while on tours
A strong stage presence
Friendly, outgoing (No monster egos please!)
Must understand that we are pursuing this for a living so please do not submit if you are looking for a hobby band or cannot commit to the rehearsal schedule.
Honest and hardworking (you understand that a band is a business and requires more than just picking up an instrument)
Fast learner (willing to practice outside of rehearsal to get caught up on all sets lists and material)
No hard drugs and no alcoholics please

IMPORTANT: In order to help earn funds to keep our original project going, CR also plays various cover gigs (mostly out of town). The permanent drummer will also be expected to learn our cover sets (three 45 min sets of 80s/90s rock). Playing covers allows us to cover more expenses and put in less from our own bank accounts.
On a side note, CR is a FAMILY. We usually end up spending more time together then we do with our real families! We are looking for a brother in arms, so personality and your ability to get along with everyone is very important. We really want to find that perfect fit.

If you feel you would be the ideal fit please respond with the follow:
1. Photos
2. Links to video of you playing (mp3s are also acceptable)

DANKO JONES BEGINS U.S. TOUR TODAY

It's long been clear that the Canadian hard rock trio DANKO JONES lives and breathes – and even sweats and bleeds – rock n' roll. The group's namesake front man loves to talk about it (check out his long-running “The Official Danko Jones Podcast” for proof); he loves to write about it (as his new book, “I've Got Something To Say: 10 Years of Rock and Roll Ramblings,” pointedly captures); and he loves to sing about it, as evidenced by a number of the group's best-loved songs (“I Gotta Rock,” “Rock Shit Hot,” “Do You Wanna Rock,” etc.).

On the group's new album, the aptly-titled “A Rock Supreme,” Danko Jones – the man and the band – up the ante considerably from the moment the very first words blast from the speakers: I'm in a band, and I love it / All I want to do is play my guitar and rock and roll.  There's no midlife crisis here, no softening with age, no signs of self-doubt – just 11 fist-pumping (literally, in the case of “Fists Up High”) jolts of sonic adrenaline with nary a ballad in sight.

“'A Rock Supreme' is the name of our new studio album. There are 11 songs on it, and they're all fantastic,” says Jones. “Trust me – we know what we're doing when it comes to hard rock.” Produced by GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against, Biffy Clyro) and featuring cover artwork by Ulf Lunden (Graveyard, Europe, Bombus), “A Rock Supreme” – which is available now for pre-order – will be released on April 26 via M-Theory Audio (U.S.), Rise Above (UK), Indica (Canada, AU, NZ) and AFM (rest of the world). All digital pre-orders include three instant downloads – the previously released singles “We're Crazy” and “Burn In Hell,” and the newly-released

“Dance Dance Dance,” which can now be streamed on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and other digital platforms. A music video for “Dance Dance Dance” – which premiered on Wednesday on Los Angeles' iconic KLOS-FM during a live appearance on “Jonesy's Jukebox” with host Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) – will premiere early next month, when the band will hit the road in the Western United States for a two-week headlining tour with support from the like-minded hard rock group Nashville Pussy and recent European tour mates Prima Donna. A complete list of the band's upcoming concerts appears below.

DANKO JONES – whose namesake front man contributed guest vocals to Volbeat's 2017 #1 Active Rock hit “Black Rose,” a song he performed live with the group at their recent stadium show in Denmark (captured on the recently-released DVD/Blu-ray “Let's Boogie! Live From Telia Parken”) – has made a name for themselves over the years as a must-see live band during memorable tours with the likes of Guns N' Roses, Motörhead and Clutch. The group's last album, 2017's “Wild Cat,” cracked the sales charts in Canada and eight European territories, achieving the group's highest chart positions yet in Germany, France, Belgium and Switzerland. Upon its release, lead single “My Little RNR” became one of the fastest-streaming songs of the band's career and has since become a live staple.

Over the years, DANKO JONES has earned extensive praise for their visceral live shows and attitudinal, libidinous rock. The group's best-known material includes “Had Enough,” which earned the group their first gold and platinum singles in Sweden and has racked up more than 13 million Spotify streams; “Gonna Be A Fight Tonight,” which WWE used as the official theme song of the 2015 Royal Rumble; and “Lovercall,” their first of seven singles to crack the U.S. Active Rock Top 40.

DANKO JONES - “A Rock Supreme” track listing:

1. I'm In A Band

2. I Love Love

3. We're Crazy

4. Dance Dance Dance

5. Lipstick City

6. Fists Up High

7. Party

8. You Got Today

RAMMSTEIN STARTS WORK ON VIDEOS FOR NEW RECORD

German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN have posted a slideshow of photos from what appears to be a video shoot for their long-awaited new album. Among the Instagram pictures is one featuring two actresses dressed as nuns, and a shot of a clapperboard in front of singer Till Lindemann's face with the title "Black Dog, Big Fish" and director Jonas Åkerlund's name on it.

Longtime RAMMSTEIN collaborator Åkerlund is the original drummer of BATHORY, one of the first black metal bands, who made his mark directing music videos for artists from Madonna and THE ROLLING STONES to MAROON 5 and Beyoncé. These have won the Swedish director a host of awards, including several Grammys, an MTV VMA, MVPA Hall Of Fame award and more. Åkerlund has also directed a number of feature films, including cult favorite "Spun" starring Jason Schwartzman, Mickey Rourke, Brittany Murphy and John Leguizamo. He also helmed the upcoming film "Lords Of Chaos", based on true events in the Norwegian black metal music scene in the early 1990s, which will open in theaters February 8 and on demand on February 22.

RAMMSTEIN's first studio album since 2009's "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da" is tentatively due this spring. The effort was mixed at a Santa Monica, California studio with Rich Costey, an American producer who has previously worked with MUSE, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and FRANZ FERDINAND, among others.

RAMMSTEIN guitarist Richard Kruspe told Metal Wani about the making of the band's new album: "Well, when I thought to do another RAMMSTEIN record, I was like, 'No, I'm going to do that. I'm not going through more suffering,'" he said. "That was four years ago. But what we did in the beginning is we said 'Let's get together and try to come up with three or four songs.' We didn't really put any pressure on us, which was very important at this time. While we were starting to rehearse and stuff and getting ideas, I thought, 'Wow, it's actually very good. Things have changed.' All of a sudden, there's a certain kind of respect that I always missed a little bit. We just had good chemistry, which reminded me of the first time when we started. Then I felt, like, 'What would interest me on a new RAMMSTEIN record?' I thought, 'Every time people talk RAMMSTEIN, it's about fire. It's all about the show.' Nobody talks about the music anymore for RAMMSTEIN, and it kind of bothered me. I was thinking, 'I want to do another record. It has to be musical in a way that can really stand out from other records.' That was my goal, or our goal."

As for the disc's musical direction and how it compares to the band's previous efforts, Kruspe said: "It's so hard to say it, because I'm working four years on the record, I'm so close. I think when I listen to the record — we're still in the process, but it's almost 'RAMMSTEIN 3D' is how I describe it. We have written a lot of stuff, but we recorded, I think, 16 songs right now. We're probably going to mix 11 songs because we're running out of time right now. I think it's going to be out in April, which will be the release date. Then, we'll be on our first stadium tour, which is very exciting."

RAMMSTEIN recently announced a batch of summer 2019 European tour dates. The run of stadium and arena shows will kick off on May 27 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany and end of August 23 in Vienna, Austria.

BRUCE CORBITT PASSES AWAY

RIGOR MORTIS and WARBEAST vocalist Bruce Corbitt died earlier today (Friday, January 25) after a battle with esophageal cancer. He was 56 years old.

Corbitt began his fight against esophageal cancer in May 2017. He went through extreme radiation and chemotherapy treatment before they could attempt surgery. Just when everyone thought Bruce would surely be out of the woods, his first doctor's visit in 2018 brought him the horrible news that the cancer was still there and that it was at Stage 4. He was given two months to two years to live but was told that he would be lucky to make it a year. Due to issues with insurance companies not wanting to approve a second opinion at MD Anderson in Houston, Bruce was forced to use a second opinion in Dallas. His hopes were raised when he was told there was a trial that he could be part of and that there were great results from this trial. A week after signing all the paperwork for the trial treatment, Bruce received a phone call advising him that, unfortunately, his cancer was one that was not treatable with the trial treatment. Bruce was upset, but he didn't let that stop him from fighting.

"I may not have won this fight, but I did beat it longer than most would have," Corbitt said in a Facebook Live video in late December 2017. "I got some extra time in life. I couldn't have done it without my beautiful wife Jeanna Corbitt. The hardest part for me is just knowing that I will have to leave her."

Jeanna Corbitt said last March: "I can't even imagine my world without my husband in it. We both feel so cheated out of our future together at this point. We try to make the best of every moment we have together, even when he feels terrible. He's such a brave and tough man... MY Superhero!"

Bruce, who previously survived a stabbing and a heart attack, told Billboard last August that he had "a 2.8 percent chance of living five years. So what am I going to do, sit around and cry about it or be that 2.8 percent?" he asked rhetorically.

Bruce's medical bills from 2017 alone totaled over $1 million in charges.

Earlier this month, Corbitt announced in a Facebook Live video that he was entering hospice care with a 24-hour morphine drip. "Man, I'm still fighting, fighting, fighting," he said, raising his fist.

All three of WARBEAST's albums were released through Philip Anselmo's label, Housecore Records. The PANTERA frontman was even the best man at Corbitt's wedding when he and Jeanna were married in 2012. "I've seen his world crash down around him when he was young. I've always felt there is no fucking way I could let him down as a friend and business partner," Anselmo told Billboard. "Bruce is my big brother, and that's how we roll. His family is my family, and vice versa, yet again.

CANNIBAL CORPSE ENLISTS ERIK RUTAN ON UPCOMING TOURS

Cannibal Corpse have announced that Erik Rutan will fill in for guitarist Pat O'Brien as O'Brien tends to personal issues. Rutan will appear live with the band for the Decibel Magazine Tour and the upcoming US leg of Slayer's final tour happening this May alongside Slayer, Lamb of God, and Amon Amarth. This won't be the first time these death metal powerhouses have worked together; Rutan has produced four albums with Cannibal Corpse (Kill, Evisceration Plague, Torture, Red Before Black) and is uniquely equipped to fill the role - he is one of the death metal's most acclaimed guitarists and is known for his time as part of Morbid Angel (who are co headlining the Decibel tour alongside Cannibal) throughout the 90s and early 2000s, as well as handling vocals/guitars and production duties for his current band Hate Eternal.

STATIC-X/DEVILDRIVER ANNOUNCE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

As teased late last year, STATIC-X will head out on their highly-anticipated Wisconsin Death Trip 20th Anniversary tour this summer, which will also serve as a memorial tribute to late vocalist Wayne Static. The tour will feature co-headliners and metal giants DevilDriver, and will also feature support from heavy mainstays Dope. The tour will begin in Tempe, AZ on June 18 and will visit over a month's-worth of cities, coming to an end in Las Vegas, NV on July 27.

Tickets will go on sale via individual venues this Friday (pre-sale begins tomorrow). Meet & greets are available now via www.Static-X.org and www.DevilDriver.com. See below for all dates.

"Our intention is to pay ultimate respect to Wayne and to celebrate the music that has been in all of our hearts for more than 20 years," says bassist Tony Campos. "It's all about channeling the vibe from 1999 to the best of our ability and playing those classic STATIC-X songs live and loud."

"Rehearsals have been awesome," adds guitarist Koichi Fukuda. "The music and the vocals are sounding really great! I feel like Wayne would be proud."

In celebration of this announcement, STATIC-X have revealed an exclusive promotional video for the tour, including a brand new clip of the band performing a newly-recorded version of their hit song "Push It", featuring an unidentified vocalist. Watch here: https://youtu.be/7Kya89wzOlc

"We understand that people are naturally going to want to know more about who is singing," says drummer Ken Jay. "We have discussed this at great length and we came to the conclusion that at this time, it would be inappropriate for us to put the focus on anyone other than Wayne, Tony, Koichi and myself. It feels like the best way for us to celebrate Wayne's legacy, along with the 20th anniversary of Wisconsin Death Trip, with all of our fans."

DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara says, "For those who don't know, I am the one who first discovered STATIC-X back in the day in a small club in front of about 40 people! From that moment forward, I was and have always been a fan of what they do. It's unique and will always hold a special place musically for me.

Co-headlining this first memorial tour is not only a way to pay homage to Wayne, but something I'm very excited to do. STATIC-X will be closing the show each night out of respect for Wayne. I'll be there nightly, side stage, watching the unit do their thing with a big smile. I hope that Wayne will be there in spirit, watching as his brothers pay respect by bringing this music back to the fans that made the band so massive! I know he would have loved this!

Don't miss out and grab tickets before these dates sell out! DevilDriver will have a full headlining set and we are throwing in some "surprises", so get ready to get LOCO! If there was ever a time for me to break out Coal Chamber tracks, this would be the tour to do it on... we will also add new stuff from DevilDriver before our double record comes out in late summer! Come join us for the summer tour of a lifetime!"

On this tour, support artist Dope will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of their acclaimed debut album, Felons and Revolutionaries. "We are super excited to be part of this tour," says Edsel Dope. "Dope and STATIC-X played hundreds of shows together back in 1999 and 2000, so it's an honor to be able to run it back 20 years later."

FOREIGNER DONATES PROCEEDS TO SHRINERS HOSPITALS FOR CHILDREN

FOREIGNER, the classic British-American rock band, has announced that it is donating proceeds from a new version of its hit song "I Want To Know What Love Is" to Shriners Hospitals For Children. FOREIGNER recently recorded the song and created a new music video featuring Shriners Hospitals For Children patients. The new release is available for download on Google Play and iTunes beginning January 1. Fans can visit www.showthemlove.org to download or pre-order the album.

The single appears on a new album of live recordings, "Foreigner Live In Concert", available on February 15 both digitally and in stores via The Orchard. FOREIGNER is donating proceeds from both the single and the entire album to Shriners Hospitals For Children.

The Mick Jones composition "I Want To Know What Love Is" hit the top of the charts all over the world when it was released in 1984 and is FOREIGNER's biggest hit to date. It remains one of the band's best-known songs and is listed as one of Rolling Stone magazine's greatest songs of all time.

"There is a spiritual undertone to 'I Want To Know What Love Is' and when you apply the lyrics to a cause like Shriners Hospitals For Children, it brings a whole new meaning to the song," said FOREIGNER founding member, lead guitarist and songwriter Mick Jones.

"It's hard to put a dollar amount on the value of this gift, but this is truly a monumental donation in our mind," said John McCabe, executive vice president of Shriners Hospitals For Children. "Participating in the music video will be an invaluable experience for our patients. The fact that sales proceeds from the download of this song will go to Shriners Hospitals For Children is a wonderful bonus."

"FOREIGNER has been involved with Shriners Hospitals for 10 years, and we've been looking for a way to make a more meaningful impact," said lead singer Kelly Hansen. "The lyrics of this song really speak to the qualities we've observed in the children here at Shriners Hospitals. The kids show this amazing resilience and happiness that really makes one think how powerful love is."

JUDAS PRIEST ANNOUNCE 2019 TOUR
With Judas Priest’s latest studio album, Firepower, confirmed as one of the most successful of the band’s entire career - landing in the "top 5" of 17 countries (including their highest chart placement ever in the U.S., at #5) - demand to see the legendary metal band in concert is higher than ever.

And North American headbangers will get their chance to experience the legendary band on a nearby concert stage this coming spring/summer, when Priest will tour throughout the continent - with the classic metal band Uriah Heep as support.

Kicking off on May 3rd at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida and wrapping up on June 29th at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, fans will get an opportunity to catch Priest at the height of their concert powers on any one of the tour’s 32 dates.

“Metal maniacs - Judas Priest is roaring back to the USA for one more blast of Firepower! Firepower 2019 charges forth with new first time performances born out of Firepower, as well as fresh classic cuts across the decades from the Priest world metalsphere. Our visual stage set and light show will be scorching a unique, hot, fresh vibe - mixing in headline festivals, as well as the in-your-face venue close ups. We can’t wait to reunite and reignite our maniacs...THE PRIEST IS BACK!” -Judas Priest

There are few heavy metal bands that have managed to scale the heights that Judas Priest have during their nearly 50-year career - responsible for issuing such all-time classic albums as British Steel, Screaming for Vengeance, and Painkiller, as well as the anthems “Breaking the Law,” “Living After Midnight,” and “You’ve Got Another Thing Coming.”

And Priest’s presence and influence remains strong, as evidenced by the chart performance of 'Firepower' and its glowing reviews, a Grammy Award win for 'Best Metal Performance', plus being a VH1 Rock Honors recipient and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination.

Also, Priest can be credited as being one of the first metal bands to pioneer wearing leather and studs – a look that would eventually be embraced by metalheads throughout the world.

Undoubtedly, Judas Priest’s upcoming North American tour will only add to their ever-growing status of heavy metal legends.

IN FLAMES RELEASE TEASER FROM UPCOMING NEW RECORD

IN FLAMES vocalist Anders Fridén spoke to Cameron Buchholtz of the Rock 100.5 The KATT radio station about the band's upcoming studio album. The follow-up to 2016's "Battles" will include the song "I Am Above", the official video for which make its online debut on December 14. The clip was once again directed by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, AMARANTHE and KAMELOT, among others.

Asked about the response to the 21-second "I Am Above" teaser, which saw some fans praising IN FLAMES' return to a heavier sound of the past, Anders said: "I don't know about that part. I mean, I'm happy that people are excited, of course. Personally, I don't like these hype things where they say, 'Oh, they're back again,' or, 'It's this again,' and then they get the full album and [are], like, 'Oh, fuck. It's not…' 'Cause we never do the same album twice; we always take things forward. But I think this one is a little bit more guitar-oriented and slightly heavier… Don't take 'heavier' for grant… But it has a different feel to it."

The vocalist added: "I'm super happy. It's everything that we are: it's melodic; it's aggressive, it's big — big choruses. And I hope people like it.

"If you're familiar with IN FLAMES, as a band, as we are today and have been for awhile, then I don't think you're gonna get disappointed."

Anders also talked about the contributions of IN FLAMES' latest additions, American musicians Tanner Wayne (drums) and Bryce Paul (bass). Asked if Wayne and Paul changed the songwriting dynamic in IN FLAMES, Anders said: "No. They are part of the band for sure, but me and Björn [Gelotte, guitar] have been working for three months for this album. We are a strong band, and I think live, everybody comes together. But when it comes to writing, you don't want too many chefs. We've been doing it for such a long time, we know what we want, and we wanna get there as fast as possible, you know what I mean? But they bring a lot to the table, of course — the community, the feeling of the band and everything. So, yeah… [They're] awesome guys."

The band's triumphant first leg of the "Legacy Of The Beast" tour opened in Europe earlier this year to outstanding critical acclaim, not just by the 750,000-plus fans who came to see the show but right across national press and rock media, including The Times (UK) newspaper calling it "an extraordinary show filled with world class theatrics… a masterclass in performance and staging."

MAIDEN vocalist Bruce Dickinson comments: "We're excited to return to North America and share the 'Legacy Of The Beast' tour with all our friends there! We're immensely proud of this show and we've had great reactions from the many fans who came to see us in Europe earlier this year. The production is based on our mobile game 'The Legacy Of The Beast' which basically takes various incarnations of Eddie into many different MAIDEN worlds. This inspired us to put together a stage show to take our fans through different worlds and experiences set to appropriate songs. It is not that easy designing different worlds on stage and we put a huge amount of work into this to make it work and the end result we feel is our most spectacular and certainly the most complex show to date. We've got all kinds of crazy things going on, including a replica Spitfire plane dominating the stage during 'Aces High', tons of pyro, a giant Icarus, muskets, claymores and some truly marvellous flame-throwers which I have a hell of a lot of fun with, as you will see! And, of course, we have Eddie, as you've never seen him before, and absolutely loads of other surprises. I've had the time of my life playing with all these magnificent props on stage, it's been fantastic, we can't wait to bring this show to you!"

Steve Harris, bassist and founder member adds: "We gave a lot of thought to the set list for this tour as the songs needed to follow the narrative of the changing worlds of the stage show. We feel we ended up with a very strong and well balanced set mixing songs we haven't played in many years, like 'Flight Of Icarus', 'Sign Of The Cross' and 'The Clansman' with songs we know the fans want to hear like 'The Trooper', '2 Minutes To Midnight', 'The Number Of The Beast', 'Fear Of The Dark', 'Run To The Hills', 'Hallowed Be Thy Name' and others, reflecting the journey through the different themes of the show. The whole band is really enjoying this tour and we are really looking forward to seeing everybody again!"

Support on the 2019 tour comes from THE RAVEN AGE. Additionally, FOZZY will be guests for the Banc of California Stadium show in Los Angeles.

For the 2019 shows, IRON MAIDEN will, in conjunction with the promoters, be implementing a partial digital ticketing system in as many venues as possible. This technology, being used by the NFL amongst others, is a progression of the paperless system that MAIDEN have been successfully using since 2010 and has worked well in lessening ticket scalping and the drain of prime tickets into the Secondary market.

Fans in the USA and Canada will once again be able to enjoy a Trooper VIP Upgrade package allowing early access to the venue, a pile of Trooper goodies, Trooper beers, food and a designated area to meet with other fans, plus the opportunity to win some great prizes. Packages will be available from IronMaiden.com, priced at $220 ($290 CAD for Canadian shows), with a 10% discount for IRON MAIDEN fan-club members.

OZZY OSBOURNE ANNOUNCES "NO MORE TOURS" IN NORTH AMERICA

Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Ozzy Osbourne has announced additional "No More Tours 2" North American tour dates for 2019. For these shows, Osbourne will be backed by his longtime collaborators Zakk Wylde (guitar), Rob "Blasko" Nicholson (bass), Tommy Clufetos (drums) and Adam Wakeman (keyboards), with MEGADETH supporting for the entire North American run.

Tickets for the 2019 North American "No More Tours 2" shows go on sale to the general public starting Friday, November 9 at LiveNation.com and through the Live Nation app.

The "No More Tours 2" tour launched in May 2018 in Santiago, Chile for solo shows in three countries followed by a six-week European leg of headlining solo dates and festival performances. A North American tour followed kicking off August 30 in Allentown, Pennsyvania, with the final four shows of that leg of the tour postponed for Ozzy to recover from an infection. Those four shows — Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA, North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas — will now conclude the 2019 dates. Tickets for these rescheduled dates are on sale now at LiveNation.com. The trek will also include a newly announced June 11 stop at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Prior to his 2019 dates, Ozzy will headline a special New Year's Eve Ozzfest spectacular at the Forum in Los Angeles.

On his upcoming farewell world tour, produced by Live Nation, Osbourne will celebrate more than five decades as a performer (both as a solo artist and as lead singer of BLACK SABBATH which formed in 1968). This tour, expected to take Ozzy around the world with dates into 2020, will mark the end of global touring for the legendary artist, though he will continue to perform select live shows in the future. Throughout his career, Ozzy has sold more than 100 million records.

This will mark the first time MEGADETH will join Osbourne for a full tour, although they have performed together previously at Ozzfest and other festivals around the world.

Although Ozzy's current solo tour is billed "No More Tours 2" and has been advertised as his last major world trek, he insisted that he's not going away entirely, saying: "What I'm stopping is doing what I'm doing now — going around the world all the time. I wish people would understand I'm not retiring. Is it my bad English accent? It's called the 'No More Tours' tour. It doesn't say 'No more tours ever.'"

The legendary singer said that he's easing back on the heavy road schedule in order to be with his family, remarking: "I've got grandchildren that I want to spend time with." But he added that he's been lucky to do what he's been doing for 50 years, saying: "I don't punch a card every morning This is not my job; it's my passion. It's been the best thing that's ever happened to me in my life."

"No More Tours 2" is a reference to Ozzy's 1992 "No More Tours" trek, which marked the first time the singer announced the end of his days as a touring artist. The tour name was a pun based on the title of his then-most recent solo album, "No More Tears". Ozzy returned to action three years later and has been on the road ever since.

Last year, Ozzy reunited with guitarist Zakk Wylde, who played on studio albums such as "No Rest For The Wicked", "No More Tears" and "Ozzmosis" and who has toured on and off with Ozzy for nearly 30 years.

As most fans remember, back in 2000 and 2001, KISS already performed a "Farewell Tour". The trek, which was the last to feature both guitarist Ace Frehley and drummer Peter Criss, played 142 shows over five legs, covering North America, Japan, and Australia.

"Let's put it into perspective and try to at least get a sense of what's different [this time around]," frontman Paul Stanley told Rolling Stone. "The farewell tour took place 19 years ago. The farewell tour was at the end of the time that we had brought back the two original members [guitarist Ace Frehley and Peter Criss] and it was such drudgery and so difficult and so unhappy that it just seemed, like, 'Let's put the horse down.' And after the tour was over, it didn't take me very long to realize I didn't want to say goodbye to the band; I wanted to say goodbye to two members. So that was the differences. We've had 19 years of the band. The band has never been better, happier… But with all that in mind, it's time to think about an end."

Although Stanley didn't rule out the possibility of guest appearances by former members, he didn't promise anything either. "I really can't say," Stanley said. "This will be a celebration of KISS and not any individual lineup or any individual members. I wouldn't rule anything out, but it's not the crux of what we're doing… and I'm not being coy either. I don't want to mislead anybody, really that's not something that's been given a lot of thought at this point, the majority of our time has gone into what is the stage going to be, what is the show going to be, and we're actually in the midst of toying with setlists now."

Rumors of KISS's final run of live shows gained strength several months ago following the news that the band was attempting to trademark the phrase "The End Of The Road." An application from KISS was filed in February to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, which means that the band could use it in connection with "live performances by a musical band."

Bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons recently told Sweden's Expressen newspaper that KISS's next tour will last three years. Calling it the band's "most spectacular tour ever," the bassist/vocalist added that the trek will make stops on "all continents."
