BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME will perform its most recent album, "Coma Ecliptic", in its entirety on this tour. This will be the first time the album will be performed live in full. Bassist Dan Briggs offers his thoughts and says: "The songs on 'Coma Ecliptic' came together in 2014 (and some of them even earlier than that), so it feels amazing to finally present the album live in full, the way it was intended to be heard. It's our most theatrical album yet  and we'll be looking to bring that element to the stage as best we can; not to mention how great it will be to share the stage with Devin and crew again."  "Coma Ecliptic" was, once again, an ambitious concept album for BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME. This time, the story followed the wanderings of an unidentified man, stuck in a coma, as he journeys through his past lives.
Each song was its own episode in a modern day, sort of "The Twilight Zone"-esque fashion. The unidentified man enters each world and is offered a choice: stay, or move on to the next in search of something better, something more "perfect."

Swedish occult rockers GHOST will release new EP later this year and will follow it up with a new round a touring featuring a brand new stage show.

Speaking to MetalSucks during GHOST's spring U.S. tour, one of the band's Nameless Ghouls stated about the group's plans for the coming months (see video below): "We're gonna finish up this tour in Albany, which is on May 22nd, and then our European tour starts May 27th. And that stretches into right in the beginning of July; so that's gonna be festivals. After that, we have an EP coming out. That's gonna be great, because that's gonna, sort of, re-energize the whole cycle. So there's gonna be some new material, we're gonna have a new stage show. So it's gonna be a completely different setting. Then we're gonna terrorize you with that up until next year."

Asked how big he envisions GHOST one day becoming, the Nameless Ghoul told WNOR FM99: "It's hard to fully set a parameter of, 'This is exactly how big we wanna become.' But I think that the one goal that we want to achieve… I mean, set aside a lot of the personal, I guess, monetary things that you want to achieve as a human being; you wanna be rich and you wanna be that… But when it comes to the size that I've always wanted us to become or turn into, it's basically a full-production band that can do almost anything that we need in order to fully accomplish the show that we've always had in mind. Obviously, it's not exactly the same vision from eight years ago — it's grown — but the idea has always been for it to be a full-production arena [show]."

Ozzfest Meets Knotfest...the ultimate meeting of metal minds...a double-header music and lifestyle weekend like no other on the planet.

This merger of two of the most well-known and established brands in rock — Ozzfest, celebrating its 20th anniversary, and Knotfest, which debuted in 2012 — is set for Saturday, September 24 (Ozzfest) and Sunday, September 25 (Knotfest) at San Manuel Amphitheater and Festival Grounds in San Bernardino, California. Tickets for the Live Nation-produced Ozzfest Meets Knotfest — a multi-stage, two-day weekend camping event with more than 40 acts — go on sale Friday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m. (PT) at and All the details and lineups (below) were revealed at a major press conference today (Thursday, May 12) at the Palladium in Hollywood, California.

Saturday's Ozzfest will be headlined by BLACK SABBATH — marking their last Southern California performance as part of the band's final tour — and Sunday's Knotfest bill is topped by the festival's namesake, SLIPKNOT.

On hand at the press conference were Ozzfest founder Ozzy Osbourne and SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor and M. Shawn Crahan (a.k.a. Clown). The event began with a movie screening, followed by a question-and-answer session with artists from the Ozzfest Meets Knotfest bill and concluded with a performance from ZAKK SABBATH, led by Zakk Wylde.

Ozzy was joined onstage at today's event by his estranged wife Sharon, who put the couple's recent marital troubles behind her to tell the crowd: "Twenty years ago, we realized that there was no touring festival that supported music like these guys did. We came up with Ozzfest and for twenty years it was amazing. And for many of those years, we had the unbelievable SLIPKNOT playing. And SLIPKNOT came along and kicked our arses and created Knotfest. They took that around the world and it was hugely successful and critically acclaimed as one of the best festivals on Earth. Then we decided, 'Why not merge together?'"

She added: "We want it to be the loudest, biggest, dirtiest festival in California. We couldn't be happier."

The San Manuel Amphitheater and Festival Grounds is where Ozzfest — the event that launched the U.S. hard rock festival market and went on to tour the world — began in 1996 and where Knotfest last year took over the San Bernardino, California venue and expanded into a camping festival. There's also a longtime history between the two namesakes of the events, with SLIPKNOT appearing at Ozzfest in 1999, 2001, 2004, 2005 and 2013 at the inaugural Ozzfest Japan.

"We are here to create havoc and history," said Ozzy Osbourne. "Let the madness begin..."

"This could be the one of the coolest things I've ever been a part of," said Corey Taylor. "Starting out as an Ozzfest band, coming into our own with Knotfest and now combining forces to make a little metal was meant to be and I'm proud to be a part of it."

"Playing with BLACK SABBATH is always an honor," Crahan exclaimed. "Merging both festivals will be a legendary experience that will be life-changing for all fans. We are excited to bring all the families together again."

"The impact of Ozzfest on heavy music and on SLIPKNOT, cannot be underestimated," said Cory Brennan, president, 5B Artist Management. "For 20 years, Ozzfest has given fans their first glimpse at bands like SLIPKNOT, DISTURBED and countless others, but also bringing new fans and bands together every year. Ozzfest inspired SLIPKNOT to continue this vital tradition with Knotfest, and it's an honor to celebrate our genre alongside them in 2016."

Baroness' triumphant new album contains some of the biggest, brightest and most glorious riffs and choruses the adventurous rock group has ever recorded. But its title, Purple, also reflects a dark moment in the group's recent history: the terrifying bus crash they survived while on tour in 2012. "The band suffered a gigantic bruise," singer-guitarist John Baizley says of the accident. "It was an injury that prevented us from operating in a normal way for quite some time. Hopefully, this record is the springboard that helps us get away from all that."

The album, released in December 2015 and which producer Dave Fridmann (the Flaming Lips, Sleater-Kinney) helmed, covers the gamut of emotions Baroness have experienced in recent years and serves as their victory cry. Purple finds a revamped lineup of the band – Baizley and Pete Adams (guitar, vocals) and new additions Nick Jost (bass, keyboards) and Sebastian Thomson (drums) – playing 10 intricately textured tunes and singing about the worry they felt immediately after the crash ("If I Have to Wake Up (Would You Stop the Rain)"), the struggle to recover as smoothly as possible ("Chlorine & Wine") and their ongoing quest for survival ("The Iron Bell"). From its bulldozing opener "Morningstar" to the avant-garde 17-second closer "Crossroads of Infinity," the record is at once both their most emotionally threadbare and musically complex offering to date, with passages that allude to their classic-rock roots as much as their crushing metal past.

Steven Tyler will embark on the "Out On A Limb" solo tour in early July. The 19-city trek will see the AEROSMITH singer backed by his Nashville-based band LOVING MARY and will include stories from Tyler's childhood, his time with AEROSMITH and his new headquarters in Nashville.
"What would I not pay to go see [Paul] McCartney, but instead of playing with whoever he's with now, actually do (a show) where he tells you what he was thinking when he wrote 'Yesterday'?" Tyler told USA Today. "That's what I'm doing. I figured I'd talk about 'Sweet Emotion' and 'Dream On' and where I was when I wrote it, and 'Seasons Of Wither' and how I played it."
The first "Out On A Limb" performance took place Monday, May 2 at David Geffen Hall in New York's Lincoln Center and benefitted Janie's Fund, the AEROSMITH frontman's charitable initiative helping girls overcome the trauma resulting from abuse and neglect. Named after the AEROSMITH song "Janie's Got A Gun", Janie's Fund came to life via a collaboration between Tyler and leading non-profit Youth Villages.
"I'm digging deep and finding some real buried treasure for this one," Tyler said prior to Monday's concert. "'I've never performed quite like this before. I'm telling it like it is and getting to perform with some extremely talented musicians and dear friends from Nashville."
