MINISTRY TO RELEASE 13th STUDIO ALBUM
Al Jourgensen, six-time Grammy nominated godfather of industrial metal, will release his band Ministry's 13th studio album, From Beer To Eternity, on September 6 (13th Planet Records). Pre-order info will be posted soon on Ministry's Facebook. As fans of the band know, after last year there wasn't going to be another Ministry album, but as Jourgensen put it recently, "I had no choice."

Sessions for what would become From Beer to Eternity began last December at Jourgensen's 13th Planet compound in El Paso, TX with Jourgensen (who produced the album, composed the music and wrote the lyrics for all 11 songs), guitarists Mike Scaccia and Sin Quirin, drummer Aaron Rossi and bassist Tony Campos.  Rough tracks for 18 songs were finished on December 19, and three days later, the 47-year old Scaccia died from a heart attack he suffered onstage while playing a live show with his band Rigor Mortis in Dallas, TX.  Jourgensen, Quirin, Rossi and Campos were absolutely devastated.

"We have never, in the history of Ministry, ever had a tracking session like that before," states Jourgensen, "everything went so smoothly, it was surreal.  And Mikey was so on fire and inspired, and really a driving force for this record."  After returning from Scaccia's funeral in Dallas, and shouldering the weight of grief as well as the desire to honor his fallen comrade, Jourgensen locked himself in his studio with his engineer and co-producer Sammy D'Ambruoso for three excruciating months.  "There was no choice," Jourgensen says of the bittersweet production process.  "During the tracking sessions, Mikey was smiling and going, 'You know what, Al?  This is by far and away the best Ministry album we've ever done together. This is awesome.'  I'm super proud of From Beer to Eternity because it's my tribute to Mikey's incredible talent, and I feel it honors him and all of the years we spent together making music."

From the schizophrenic opening cut, the sarcasm-dripping, sound effect-laden "Hail to his Majesty (Peasants)" to the thrash-punk riffs andbooming bass reverberations of "Punch in the Face," to "Change of Luck," a song that Jourgensen wrote directly about Scaccia's death, From Beer to Eternity pulls no punches, sounding at once familiar, yet completely fresh and inspired. The release also includes "Side F/X Include Mikey's Middle Finger / TV4," which old school Ministry fans will recognize as a continuum in a series of TV songs that began in the mid-1990s, and underscores Scaccia's birthright as one of the greatest metal guitarists in the world.

"PermaWar," the first single from From Beer to Eternity, will drop digitally via iTunes in late July as a three-track maxi single.  Additionally, 13th Planet Records will be releasing special products for From Beer to Eternity, including a Special Limited Edition Digipak with 13 tracks, a special FanBox edition, as well as vinyl and limited edition 12" inch picture discs.

Ministry will support From Beer to Eternity with a cavalcade of music videos, off-the-wall "making of..." digital clips, and an on-going "dog-blog" commentary by Jourgensen's two Labradors, Lemmy and Ozzy, who were present every step of the way during the recording and mixing of From Beer to Eternity, and have launched their own Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/Ozzyandlemmyjourgensen ) to tell the tail. Uh, tale.

But wait, there's more. In addition to From Beer to Eternity coming in September, July 9 will see the release of Jourgensen's authorized biography, "Ministry:  The Lost Gospels According to Al Jourgensen," penned by Jourgensen with Jon Wiederhorn on DaCapo Books. "Ministry" is a memoir both ugly and captivating, revealing Jourgensen as a man who lived a hard life his own way without making compromises." Then, the two-disc DVD "Ministry: Enjoy the Quiet - Live at Wacken 2012," debuts at the already sold-out Wacken Open Air 2013 festival in Germany August 1-3.  Shot live in concert at one of Ministry's final shows of the band's 2012 tour at Wacken's Open Air in front of 75,000 fans, the DVD features "New World Order," "99 Percenters," "Ghouldiggers," "Psalm 69," "Thieves," "Just One Fix," and "Khyber Pass."

KATATONIA TO RELEASE
"DETHRONED AND UNCROWNED"
In August 2012, Swedish dark rockers KATATONIA released "Dead End Kings", their ninth studio album. The CD was the band's most successful to date and cemented the Swedes' position as masters of sorrowful metal. In September 2013, the band returns with "Dethroned And Uncrowned", their first release on Kscope, Peaceville's sister label.

Many of the ecstatic reviews the "Dead End Kings" received commented on the fact that the album marked another step in the band's journey towards a more progressive sound. "Dethroned and Uncrowned" allows them to explore these elements of the record further as they have reworked the album, creating new moods and textures while still staying truthful to the core of the songs.

"Dethroned And Uncrowned" will be available on double LP, download and as 2 disc (CD and DVD-AV) digibook set, which also features a 5.1 surround mix of the album.

WATAIN REVEAL ALBUM ARTWORK
Sweden's most notorious metal extremists, WATAIN, have revealed the album cover artwork and track-listing for their fifth studio album, The Wild Hunt. Executed in oil and mixed materials, the cover of The Wild Hunt was done by Zbigniew M Bielak, the very same artist who was responsible for the Lawless Darkness artwork. The piece depicts one of the inmost shrines of WATAIN's temple. As on every classic still life, each object has a significant meaning, while each song of the album is also connected to an object.

The Wild Hunt will be released on August 19th in Europe and August 20th in North America by His Master's Noise, via Century Media Records. Click here for a teaser for the album's first single, "All That May Bleed".

"All That May Bleed" will be released on June 25th in North America as a limited 7" and digital download (see below for worldwide release dates and formats). Side B will be a track called "Play with the Devil," originally recorded by the black/heavy metal band TAIWAZ in 1988 in WATAIN's hometown, Uppsala (Gottfrid Åhman from IN SOLITUDE participates on solo guitar in WATAIN's version).

The single will be released in the following formats:
--Black 7" vinyl (limited to 2,000 copies worldwide)
--Red 7" vinyl with sticker (only available from
www.wolfwear.net; limited to 500 copies worldwide)
--7" Picture disc (available from www.cmdistro.com and www.wolfwear.net; limited to 500 copies worldwide)

PENTAGRAM ANNOUNCE U.S. SUMMER TOUR
Doom legends, PENTAGRAM, have announced shows in the US this summer. These shows will follow the band's previously announced festival dates in Europe throughout July. The complete list of dates including the US shows are listed below, as well at facebook.com/pentagramusa.

In other news, premium subscription channel SHOWTIME just picked up the documentary "Last Days Here" from influential doom legends PENTAGRAM–showings can be found HERE.

PENTAGRAM's most recent album, Last Rites, was released via Metal Blade Records on April 14, 2011 and their first ever official DVD (also out on Metal Blade), When the Screams Come, on August 30, 2011. Both releases were met by rave reviews from fans and critics alike and saw the band playing sets at infamous SXSW festival in Austin TX as well as tours across the US and dates in Europe. Recently, after months of searching and reviewing literally hundreds of applicants from around the world, PENTAGRAM announced the addition of their new guitarist Matt Goldborough. His debut with the "Ram Family," rounded out by Bobby Liebling on vocals, Greg Turley on bass guitar and Sean Saley on drums, was on April 16th, 2013 at the sold out show at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, NY. If that gig wasn't special enough, the band performed songs not heard live in over 40 years! Inspired by a demand from the fans, Liebling and company pulled out rare gems, including Be Forewarned. This track and more can be viewed now at metalinjection.net.

"No one has done doom better, for longer, than Bobby Liebling." SPIN Magazine

"an unsung American counterpart to Black Sabbath" San Francisco Weekly

"Bobby Liebling's vocals proved to be haunting yet comforting at the same time. The man has lost a lot to demons that kept him from achieving rock stardom decades ago, but his voice remains as powerful as it was then." LA Weekly

GALACTIC COWBOYS TO REUNITE
IN HOMETOWN SHOW
Former Geffen /Metal Blade recording artist GALACTIC COWBOYS will reunite for a (nearly) 25-year reunion concert on September 13 at Acadia Bar and Grill in Houston, Texas, hosted by Lone Star Metal, a Texas-based webzine and promotions company. The original lineup of Monty Colvin, Dane Sonnier, Alan Doss and Ben Huggins has agreed to reform for a special one-off show in the group's hometown.

GALACTIC COWBOYS formed in 1989 by Colvin, Sonnier, Doss and Huggins and took the Texas music scene by storm, which in turn caught the eye of Geffen Records. 2014 marks their 25th anniversary as a band and 2013 marks the 20th anniversary of the release of their sophomore album, "Space In Your Face".

GALACTIC COWBOYS has been anything but predictable and decided a preemptive strike was necessary. Thus, the reunion show was created in true GALACTIC COWBOYS' tongue-in-cheek fashion.

"We are super excited to have the honor of hosting GALACTIC COWBOYS this September at Acadia," said Rusty Conner, founder and owner of Lone Star Metal. "I've been a huge fan of the band from almost the beginning, and to be able to pull this reunion off is an enormous accomplishment for myself and Lone Star Metal."

"Come see the original line-up of GALACTIC COWBOYS doing stuff off our first two albums," said Colvin. "We are looking forward to crushing everyone's skull!"

Tickets can be purchased at this location.

IWRESTLEDABEARONCE
TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM IN AUGUST
IWRESTLEDABEARONCE will release its third studio album, "Late For Nothing", on August 6 via Century Media Records. The CD was recorded, mixed and mastered by the group's guitarist/programmer Steven Bradley at the band's home studio in Los Angeles. It also marks IWRESTLEDABEARONCE's first record with their new singer Courtney LaPlante, who joined the band with only a day's notice during last summer's Vans Warped Tour.

Newly recharged with the addition of LaPlante, Bradley and cohorts John Ganey (guitar/programming), Mike "Rickshaw" Martin (bass) and Mikey Montgomery (drums) are set to keep their fans guessing with "Late For Nothing". While the band's signature, avant-garde style is well intact on the new album; their style has progressed immensely. By far their boldest and most accessible release to date, "Late For Nothing" rips and roars with blunt force intensity, incorporating their brain joggling breakdowns with a unique blend of electronics, jazzed-out time signatures and break neck riffage.

"The entire album came together as a result of us wanting to do something different," affirms Bradley. "We didn't want to make another weird IWRESTLEDABEARONCE album or whatever people were expecting. We set out to make something different and better than anything we've ever released. It's a more evolved version of the band. We explored new styles and genres as well — especially in terms of the more spacey, epic, and beautiful parts. It's got the most melodic moments of our career as well as the heaviest."

Featuring the forthcoming, schizophrenic first single "Thunder Chunky", "Late For Nothing" scales the summit of heavy rock/metal with twelve teeth gnashing tracks that find a happy medium between crushing metal and beautifully orchestrated melody. The album's opener, "Thunder Chunky", sets the tone for the album as they slash their way through songs like "Letters To Stallone" that showcases LaPlante's incredible balance of full throttle screams and melodic choruses, and "Carnage Asada", which features a guest solo from the legendary Steve Vai.

IWRESTLEDABEARONCE will head to Europe for a summer run before returning to support the release of "Late For Nothing" in the U.S. on The All Stars Tour 2013 with EVERY TIME I DIE.

"Late For Nothing" track listing:

01. Thunder Chunky
02. Letters To Stallone
03. Snake Charmer
04. Boat Paddle
05. Firebees
06. Mind The Gap
07. Carnage Asada

BEHEMOTH PULLS OUT
ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK MAYHEM FESTIVAL
Poland's blackened death metal outfit BEHEMOTH has been forced to cancel its appearance at the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival due to their drummer Inferno taking ill and requiring surgery.

Comments BEHEMOTH guitarist/vocalist Adam "Nergal" Darski: "This must have been the most difficult decision we were forced to make in recent years. BEHEMOTH is known for not canceling any shows or tours. But this is not something we can do when we are missing our driving force, the man behind the drums — Inferno. Unfortunately, he was hospitalized due to appendix surgery and it's gonna take him few months to fully recover and get back to shape. We are trying to save selected European festivals with a fill-in drummer (KRIMH, ex-DECAPITATED), but we won't be risking doing a full-on prestigious tour like the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival without Inferno. BEHEMOTH is a solid unit and any part of this unit missing makes us weaker, and that is not how we want to present our new material to our fans. Please, accept our apologies and be patient, we shall return to Europe (this fall) and U.S. (early 2014) empowered and motivated as never before!"

Fan-filmed video footage of BEHEMOTH's June 4 performane at the Impact Fest in Warsaw, Poland can be seen below.

BEHEMOTH will release its tenth full-length album, "The Satanist", in the fall via Nuclear Blast in Europe and Metal Blade in North America. The CD is being recorded at Hertz studio in Bialystok, Poland with the help of the Wieslawscy brothers and Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, IN FLAMES, SOILWORK, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD). Songtitles set to appear on the effort include "Blow Your Trumpet, Gabriel" — described by Darski as "killer" and "a monster"; "Messe Noir" (French for "The Black Mass"); and "Ora Pro Nobis, Lucifer" (Latin for "Pray For Us, Lucifer").

In a brand new interview with Revolver magazine, Darski described BEHEMOTH's new songs as "very atmospheric" and "very emotional." "Think BURZUM meets NEW ORDER meets KILLING JOKE," he added. But at the same time, fans shouldn't expect the album to sound too far removed from BEHEMOTH's past efforts. "Take SLAYER, for example," Darski said. "Whatever genre they deal with, they still end up sounding like SLAYER. Even when they were flirting with nu-metal, it was a SLAYER record. Same with BEHEMOTH."

MIKE PORTNOY QUITS ADRENALINE MOB
Drummer Mike Portnoy (ADRENALINE MOB, FLYING COLORS, THE WINERY DOGS, DREAM THEATER, AVENGED SEVENFOLD) has released the following statement:

"It saddens me to announce that the four upcoming shows in Latin America this month supporting HALESTORM will be my last with ADRENALINE MOB.

"Unfortunately, I have scheduling conflicts that prevent me from being able to fully commit to the band's future activities at the moment.

"As I cannot be in two places at the same time, I don't want to hold them back and have to wait for my schedule to re-open up to resume activity.

"I'm very proud of what we started together and the music we made over the past two years and I wish the guys all the best in the future."

ADRENALINE MOB features in its ranks frontman Russell Allen, guitar virtuoso Mike Orlando (SONIC STOMP) and DISTURBED bassist John Moyer

ADRENALINE MOB released "Covertá", an eight-track EP featuring cover versions of some of the group's favorite songs, on March 12. Longtime fans of Portnoy are aware of the multiple cover CDs he has released with DREAM THEATER and with Neal Morse. "Covertá" is the first CD of covers recorded by ADRENALINE MOB.

Portnoy, who co-founded DREAM THEATER more than 20 years ago, abruptly quit the band in September 2010 while on tour with AVENGED SEVENFOLD. He has since been replaced by Mike Mangini (ANNIHILATOR, EXTREME, JAMES LABRIE, STEVE VAI).

Portnoy played on AVENGED SEVENFOLD's latest album, "Nightmare", following the death of that band's drummer, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, and toured with them for the entire second half of 2010.

SHINEDOWN makes their triumphant return to the Carnival Of Madness after headlining the 2010 inaugural launch, with a lineup that also included SEVENDUST, CHEVELLE, PUDDLE OF MUDD, and 10 YEARS. The first Carnival Of Madness proved to be one of the biggest tours of the summer, heralded as a Top 50 tour by Pollstar. Last year's trek featured EVANESCENCE, CHEVELLE, HALESTORM, and NEW MEDICINE.

"Carnival Of Madness is more than a show — it's an experience," proclaims SHINEDOWN frontman Brent Smith. "This year, it's all about reinvention. The culmination of five powerful and dynamic bands joining together to prove to the world that rock and roll is alive and well. So, step right up. Come one, come all. The Carnival Of Madness has arrived!!!"

PAPA ROACH frontman Jacoby Shaddix says, "We're so stoked to be on Carnival Of Madness this year. It's an absolutely killer bill from top to bottom...fans better be ready to get crazy at these shows."

"I can hardly wait for the Carnival Of Madness," says SKILLET lead singer John Cooper. "SHINEDOWN is one of the best bands in the business and we're excited to share the stage with them and great performers like PAPA ROACH, IN THIS MOMENT, and WE AS HUMAN. Also, it'll be our first tour playing songs from our new album, 'Rise', so SKILLLET will be doing our best to bring the pain every night!"

As IN THIS MOMENT declares: "We are thrilled to be a part of Carnival Of Madness this year. SHINEDOWN is one of our favorite bands and it is truly an honor to share the stage with them again. All the bands involved this year bring something unique and exciting to the table, making this a 'do not miss' event! We are humbled and grateful that we get to be a part of Carnival Of Madness this year, and can't wait to surprise you with our brand new show this summer!"

WE AS HUMAN lead singer Justin Cordle agrees: "I can't begin to tell you how stoked we are to be on the Carnival Of Madness this year. To be able to meet new fans on a tour with so many bands that we've admired for so long is incredible. We are ready to do this!
