SERPENTINE DOMINION, the new band featuring KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, CANNIBAL CORPSE frontman George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher and ex-THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER drummer Shannon Lucas, will release its self-titled debut album on October 28 via Metal Blade.

"Serpentine Dominion" track listing:

01. Intro
02. The Vengeance In Me
03. Vanquished Unto Thee
04. Divide, Conquer, Burn, And Destroy
05. Sovereign Hate
06. On The Brink Of Devastation
07. Jagged Cross Legions
08. Prelude
09. This Endless War

The song "The Vengeance In Me" can be streamed below.

The origins of SERPENTINE DOMINION can be traced back to 2009's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, which boasted a lineup that included KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, CANNIBAL CORPSE and THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER. During that fateful summer, Dutkiewicz made a proposition to Fisher: "George, I want to write you a record." On the Mayhem fest tour, Lucas, who performed with THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER through 2012, was tapped to record drums on the album. Between 2009 and 2016, CANNIBAL CORPSE and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE released three albums each, so scheduling time to work on SERPENTINE DOMINION was no easy feat — but when their rigorous schedules allowed, SERPENTINE DOMINION began to come together, with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE vocalist Jesse Leach penning the lyrics, which touch on corruption within the government, religion, big business, and other timely issues. Ultimately, though, this debut is a pure passion project; it was written and recorded simply for why musicians get into music in the first place: fun.

"Serpentine Dominion" pre-order formats:

* CD
* 180g black vinyl
* olive-green marbled vinyl (limited to 300 copies!)
* dark red marbled vinyl (limited to 200 copies!)
* dark khaki marble vinyl (USA; limited to 250 copies!)
* red/black marble vinyl (USA; limited to 250 copies!)

Dutkiewicz in 2013 spoke to Decibel magazine about how SERPENTINE DOMINION came together. He said: "When [KILLSWITCH] toured with CANNIBAL CORPSE and BLACK DAHLIA on the [Rockstar Energy Drink] Mayhem [Festival], I was just hanging out with George one night, and I was like, 'Dude, if I wrote you a bunch of songs to sing over, would you do it?' And he was like, 'Fuck yeah, man!'" he said.

Asked if this was material he had sitting around that he thought George would be good for, or if these were songs that were written specifically for George to sing, Adam said: "They were written specifically for him. He's one of my favorite singers of all time, and I thought there wouldn't be any harm in at least asking him. Once he said yes, it was like, 'Alright — let's go!'"

Regarding the musical direction of the new project, Adam said: "It's not straight death metal — there's some melodic elements in there — but it's much faster and more aggressive than KILLSWITCH is. And the drums are blazing, so Shannon is probably one of the only guys on the face of the earth who could pull this off."

Fisher told "The Jasta Show" last year that KILLSWITCH ENGAGE singer Jesse Leach ended up writing all the lyrics for SERPENTINE DOMINION. He explained: "I originally was going to write stuff [for the new band], and you know what? [Writing lyrics has] just never been my thing, and we were getting down to when I was supposed to go up there [and lay down my vocals]. And [Adam] just said, 'Look, I'll ask Jesse to write some stuff.' So he wrote it, and I just said I don't want no pro-religious crap 'cause I ain't about all that. Anyway, so it's more just about like getting revenge against corrupt motherfuckers and shit like that."

He continued: "And so [Jesse] wrote a bunch of lyrics and Adam arranged a lot of it, and then when I went up there, we recorded it in his bedroom of his house. And, basically, I would be, like, 'No, wait. We've gotta change this, fix that.' Maybe we'd tweak a word or take a word out or take a couple words out or take some lines out. We just basically fucked with it, you know? And I went up two [or] three different times [to work on the vocals]."

The official video for "Call Me", a brand new song from PAIN, the Swedish metal band led by multi-instrumentalist and producer Peter Tägtgren, can be seen below. The song is taken from PAIN's new album, "Coming Home", which will be released on September 9 through Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2011's "You Only Live Twice" features cover artwork by Stefan Heilemann.

Since the beginning of his career in the early '90s, the Swedish allrounder has enjoyed diving into the extreme and has grown to be an untameable force. But this is exactly what makes him so fascinating. Taboos, creative stagnation, or genre boundaries have never existed in the world of the forty-six-year-old mastermind. And, of course, Peter Tägtgren wandered the same unexplored paths when the time came to forge "Coming Home", the eighth studio release of the industrial institution PAIN. However, the path was long and winding and therefore, the writing process for the follow-up of "You Only Live Twice" wasn't all fun and games, but Peter Tägtgren is well prepared for the fight:

"Sometimes you pull your hair out and lay sleepless all night long, because you can't figure out this one chorus or don't know how to finish a certain song," admits the singer and guitarist."That's just me: When I dive into it, there's no ending in sight. It's a self-destructive mechanism. But I want perfection — or I don't want it at all."

Therefore, it is no wonder, that PAIN delivers a revolutionary mix of styles on this new release — bizarre alternative metal meets electronic melodies — and, in addition, the band weave some spectacular orchestral arrangements into the tracks on "Coming Home", without risking any cheesy moments or overloading the songs. The result is ten highly addictive hymns with massive depth and experimentation. With the orchestrated portions, PAIN entered a new era and seeked assistance from CARACH ANGREN's Clemens "Ardek" Wijers, who added some magical final touches to Tägtgren's bombastic songwriting. But the album also has time to breathe with beautiful acoustic guitar intros appearing hand in hand with stormy moments, showing the band at the zenith of their creativity.

"Coming Home" includes drummer Sebastian Tägtgren, Peter's seventeen-year-old son who delivers an impressive guest appearance on the title track as well as SABATON's Joakim Brodén who joins the team for some typically raw warrior vocals on "Call Me".

But a PAIN release wouldn't be a typical masterpiece without some thought-provoking topics and tales: On the callboy-singalong "Call Me" and "Final Crusade", the band crawls through the deepest corners of society and the human mind, while "Absinthe-Phoenix Rising" is based upon an incident in Leipzig during PAIN's tour with NIGHTWISH, where the band was attacked and beat up after leaving an Absinthe bar. And of course, lovers of mystery and conspiracy theories also get their money's worth with "Black Knight Satellite". "Nikola Tesla, who invented the lightbulb, electricity, and other stuff, thought that he heard beeping sounds from space," Tägtgren elaborates of the track's inspiration, "It was around the year 1899 and it seemed like a message to him, a hidden code. He was the first one to discover it, but in the 1950s, when humans started to go into space, they heard the same noises and found out: There is some signal from a satellite out there… but it isn't ours. And as they started their research, they found out, that people had been talking about this phenomenon for around thirteen-thousand years. The story of this so-called 'Black Knight Satellite' is very fascinating to me. Whether it's true or not, I don't know. But it definitely inspired me to write these lyrics."

PAIN will hit the road for a full European headline tour this autumn. The band will join forces with the German gothic metal outfit THE VISION BLEAK.

The official lyric video for the song "Shiroyama" from Swedish metallers SABATON can be seen below. The track is taken from the band's eighth studio album, "The Last Stand", which will be released on August 19 via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2014's "Heroes" was once again produced by Peter Tägtgren (PAIN, LINDEMANN, HYPOCRISY) and it "marks a brand new chapter in SABATON history," according to a press release.

The story behind the "Shiroyama" lyrics: It's the nature of time and history that the old ways must give in to the new ways and the modern age. The battle of Shiroyama in 1877 marks the end of an era and is the last stand of the legendary Samurai. Led by Saigo Takamori, the Samurai was down to 500 warriors at the end of the rebellion when they made their last stand on Mount Shiroyama. At the end of the battle, there were only 40 samurai left. They drew their swords and plunged downhill toward the enemy positions until the last of them was mowed down.

SABATON bassist Pär Sundström previously stated about "The Last Stand": "We once again worked with Peter Tägtgren in his newly upgraded and top-class Abyss studio in Sweden to record, produce and mix the album. The mastering [was] done by Jonas Kjellgren who also works in the same building in nice Pärlby on the countryside of Sweden. Both 'Carolus Rex' and 'Heroes' were done in the same way and we [felt] very comfortable to return to the same place and people again. Fans will recognize the sound of the album as SABATON, but we really feel we took it a step forward this time."

The artwork for "The Last Stand" was created by Peter Sallaí, who has worked with SABATON since "Carolus Rex". Sundström explained: "We had the idea to make an image reflecting soldiers of different times representing the different historical battles we sing about on the new album. This only reveals a small part of the album topics though."

Stated SABATON vocalist Joakim Brodén: "The concept of a last stand has always fascinated me, and both me and Pär were 'all in excited' about the subject so it was an easy choice to make."

Added Sundström: "We have always several ideas for albums to work with. Since there are countless different views and angles of war, we will, unfortunately, never run out of ideas. We kinda felt that the last stand was something perfect for SABATON. Something we really wanted to do. 'Heroes' was a perfect theme and 'The Last Stand' is right down our alley too. It was exciting to do the research."

Devin Townsend Project have announced the release of their eagerly awaited new studio album, ‘Transcendence’ for September 9th, 2016. The upcoming record will be the seventh full-length for the Devin Townsend Project. Speaking about the new record, Devin comments:

“Transcendence, like every record I've done prior, is an extension of what’s been going on in my world, represented in a new batch of songs. I'm 44 years old now, and this is where I have been over the past two years since Z2.”
The follow-up to 2014’s ‘Z2’ double-album (half of which was made up of the DTP full-length ‘Sky Blue’), sees the award-winning Townsend exploring a relatively new way of working, collaborating with the entire DTP band during the writing stages of the record. Devon offers his views on this change approach for the band, stating:

“The result of this process is a record that I truly think the intention of is special. I 'found' gas to put into the tank and am glad I did. I think the intention, the theme, and the participation of everyone involved allows this album to act like a fulcrum between the past few years and what I intend to do next with the symphony. I am very proud of it and everyone involved.”

The album artwork was once again created by Anthony Clarkson, who Devin has been working with for several years now. Townsend provides his comments on the cover (seen above):

"He presented me the main image of the girl as a painted version, and I was intrigued and asked him to redo it with a girl he knew with photos. I liked the idea that it seemed like a mash up of religious and spiritual imagery, in a sense, representing the idea (to me) that these types of connections to the infinite are often more like identities we can cling to rather than what lies behind. In a sense, the character on the front almost seems like the ideologies she's representing are more 'brand names' than anything else.”

Swedish melodic metallers HAMMERFALL will release their tenth studio album, "Built To Last", on November 4 via Austria's Napalm Records.

01. Bring It!
02. Hammer High
03. The Sacred Vow
04. Dethrone And Defy
05. Twilight Princess
06. Stormbreaker
07. Built To Last
08. The Star Of Home
09. New Breed
10. Second To None

In a December 2015 interview with Spark TV, HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak spoke about whether it's "easier" for the band to write new music after 2014's "(r)Evolution" album. He said: "No, it's not easier. '(r)Evolution' was quite easy, because it's been a while, so we had a lot of inspiration that was dying to come out, Whereas now, I find it hard… For me, I always want to be removed from the live situation when I write songs, and it's very difficult when you know that in three weeks you're gonna go out on tour again."

He continued: "I don't think I would be able to do it if I was like I was when I was younger, but now I plan ahead much more. I have to. It's what Joacim [Cans, vocals] has always done, but I've never really cared about it because I didn't have to. But now I have a family and everything I have to take care of, so I think about things like that."

"(r)Evolution" sold around 1,900 copies in the United States in its first week of release.

HAMMERFALL will embark on a European tour in early 2017. The trek, dubbed "Built To Tour", will kick off on January 12 in Bremen, Germany.

"It's been a hectic time juggling the remaining shows of the tour with songwriting and, ultimately, recording, so the name of this venture feels very fitting," said Dronjak. "The 'World Wide (r)Evolution' was a resounding success on every level with half of the shows sold out, and we can't wait to get back on stage again to have a gigantic heavy metal party every night with all our Templar friends!"

As part of its 35th anniversary celebration, thrash legends ANTHRAX are confirmed to guest on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" on Wednesday, August 24 performing their new single, "Monster At The End". This will be ANTHRAX's "Late Night" debut. "Late Night With Seth Meyers" airs on NBC at 12:35 a.m. /11:35 p.m. CT.

Taken from the band's critically-acclaimed album "For All Kings" (Megaforce), "Monster At The End" impacts at radio on August 16 and has already been added to stations like WJJO/Madison, KILO/Colorado Springs and WQLZ/Springfield.

ANTHRAX has sold in excess of ten million units, received multiple gold and platinum certifications, six Grammy nominations and a host of other accolades from the media, industry and fans. In 1991, their music helped break down race and genre barriers when they collaborated with PUBLIC ENEMY on "Bring The Noise". And, of course, along with METALLICA, SLAYER and MEGADETH, ANTHRAX helped pioneer the thrash/metal genre as a member of the "Big Four".

ANTHRAX — Scott Ian, Charlie Benante, Frank Bello, Joey Belladonna and Jon Donais — will celebrate their 35 years well into the fall, playing major festivals, headline shows and as special guest with fellow "Big Four" comrades SLAYER.

David Taylor, a staunch ANTHRAX fan, compiled a variety of in-concert clips of the band performing the 1988 classic "Antisocial" over the past three-plus decades, to create a celebratory gift for the band and their 35th anniversary. Check out that tribute video below.

The official lyric video for the song "Blood Of Bannockburn" from Swedish metallers SABATON can be seen below.

The story behind the "Blood Of Bannockburn" lyrics: 1314, nine years after the execution of William Wallace, the Scottish laid siege upon Stirling Castle and an agreement was made that if it had not been relieved by mid-summer the English would surrender the castle to the Scottish. The English could of course not ignore that challenge, and sent a formidable force north towards Stirling to break the siege and relieve the troops inside. In the end, Robert the Bruce and the Scottish defeated the English under Edward II's command with a force half the size and not nearly as well equipped of what the English had at their disposal.

SABATON also remarked on the upcoming North American tour with TRIVIUM and HUNTRESS, stating: "On the 'Heroes' tour, we came to North America three times and now it's time to return. This time we will do it with our brand new album 'The Last Stand', which will hit stores on August 19th. This means that fans in North America will be able to enjoy the new songs before anyone else.

Currently on the road as part of the annual Warped Tour, Whitechapel has announced another USA trek - this time, co-headlining with Suicide Silence! Sponsored by BlackCraft Cult Clothing (, the "Straight Outta Hell" tour also features Carnifex and Oceano as support, with Despised Icon appearing at select shows. This must-see fall run kicks off in late September and ends in late October - stay tuned for complete dates coming soon!

Whitechapel recently released their sixth full-length, Mark of the Blade, worldwide via Metal Blade Records. Hailed as "an exciting milestone" (Alt Press), Mark of the Blade was produced by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse) and sees Whitechapel redefine who they are and what they are capable of with the resulting 11 tracks. Kicking off with "The Void" - which has a Slayer-esque ferocity that is perfectly suited to the band's three-guitar attack - the songs that follow all leave a distinct impression, and by the time the rich, dark melodies on "Decennium" bring the record to a close, it's impossible to deny the emotional weight brought to bear. Alex Wade explains, "At this point in our career and as we grow older, we are taking a more open-minded approach to creating our music, allowing what we think sounds good to evolve naturally, rather than to just write what is expected of us."

After having recently recorded a hometown show in Oslo for an upcoming DVD / live album release, Norwegian prog metallers LEPROUS have announced further live action in support of their current album "The Congregation", which was released worldwide via InsideOutMusic.
The next live campaign steps include some European festival dates in the summer, a North American headline run in September/October as well as a massive European tour supporting Devil Townsend Project alongside Between The Buried And Me.
LEPROUS vocalist and keyboardist Einar Solberg checked in about the recent DVD shoot as follows:
"The recording of the DVD went great, and it was one of the best nights of our career so far! We just received the rough mix of the Audio, and we can tell that it's definitely approved. On most live albums these days, bands are re-recording most of the stuff afterwards in the studio, to make it sound "perfect". For us that's out of question. We wanna keep the live feel, especially to give a big contrast to the rather "perfected" studio albums! Definitely more organic!"
And he added the following comment about the upcoming European tour:
"We're very happy to be a part of such a fantastic tour package, and it will be pure joy to play together with both Between The Buried And Me and Devin Townsend Project! We believe this tour can help us up to the next level, and that there are many potential new followers to convince here!"

The official lyric video for the song "Black Knight Satellite" from PAIN, the Swedish metal band led by multi-instrumentalist and producer Peter Tägtgren, can be seen below. The track is taken from the group's new album, "Coming Home", which will be released on September 9 through Nuclear Blast. The cover artwork for the follow-up to 2011's "You Only Live Twice" was created by Stefan Heilemann and can be seen below.

Commented Peter: "'Black Knight Satellite' is based around a story that circulates on the net, both interesting and confusing.

"The song is an up-tempo song, with orchestra parts and chugging guitars — it will be great live. A typical PAIN song. Didn't wanna start off with a surprise this time."

A few days ago, PAIN announced that it will hit the road for a full European headline tour this autumn. PAIN will join forces with the German gothic metal outfit THE VISION BLEAK. Two more support bands will be annouced soon.

Queensryche will be joined by the iconic Armored Saint as direct support, along with Midnight Eternal on all dates for the upcoming tour. The band continues to perform across the world on the strength of their latest full length album, Condition Human, which was released in October (2015). Dates for the Fall headlining tour can be found below.

Speaking about the upcoming US tour and playing with Armored Saint, Queensryche vocalist Todd La Torre comments,
"We are pleased to announce that we will be hitting the road this November with the one and only Armored Saint and Midnight Eternal. We're looking forward to seeing all of you for this great billing of musical diversity and high energy performances! Come join the Ryche this November - December!"

Lead guitarist and founding member Michael Wilton also gave his thoughts on the band's Fall dates, saying,

"Queensryche is proud to be embarking on our Fall 2016 - Condition Human US tour with special guests Armored Saint and Midnight Eternal! We encourage our fans to come out for this one and prepare yourselves for some high energy rock shows!"

Against the formidable obstacles of an ever-changing cultural landscape, the rise and fall of various musical trends, and the near collapse of the record industry itself, QUEENSRŸCHE has secured a triumphant legacy as one of hard rock’s most respected and celebrated acts, selling 30 million albums around the world across a 30-plus-year career.

The band’s name is uttered in the same breath as many of the groups they looked to as influences and others who arose as peers. Queensrÿche built a dedicated legion of fans traveling the globe on tour with fellow rock giants like Iron Maiden, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Judas Priest, and Def Leppard. In recent years, they’ve consistently delivered high-octane live shows combining the hungry fire of a new band with the tempered experience of master showmen. Even with eleven gold and platinum plaques and a several Top 10 hard rock anthems woven into the very fiber of the genre, Queensrÿche won’t relent. In fact, they’re in the throes of a jaw-dropping creative resurgence.

Few rock bands were as successful as the Scorpions by the mid '80s - headlining arenas/stadiums worldwide, scoring two mega-selling albums (the platinum-certified 'Blackout' and the triple-platinum certified 'Love at First Sting') and two hit singles/videos ("No One Like You" and "Rock You Like a Hurricane"). But what quite a few newcomers to the band didn't realize was that the Scorpions had been regularly recording music since 1972, and that throughout the remainder of the decade, featured two guitarists (Michael Schenker and Uli Jon Roth) at separate points that are considered legendary amongst the heavy metal masses. And while such albums as 'Lonesome Crow,' 'Fly to the Rainbow,' 'In Trance,' 'Virgin Killer,' 'Taken by Force,' 'Tokyo Tapes,' and 'Lovedrive' did not come close to obtaining the commercial success of the aforementioned '80s era efforts, they inspired and influenced countless renowned musicians.

'German Metal Machine: Scorpions in the '70s' is the first-ever book to focus solely on this period of the band. Interviews include such former members as Michael Schenker, Uli Jon Roth, Francis Buchholz, and Herman Rarebell, longtime Scorpions producer Dieter Dierks, plus members of other bands that are major admirers, including KK Downing (Judas Priest), Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins), Joe Satriani, Tom Hamilton (Aerosmith), David Ellefson (Megadeth), Alex Skolnick (Testament), and Eddie Trunk ('That Metal Show'), among many others, while Kirk Hammett (Metallica) provides a foreword.
Greg Prato is a Long Island, New York-based journalist, who has written for Rolling Stone, Songfacts, and Vintage Guitar, and has authored such books as 'Survival of the Fittest: Heavy Metal in the 1990's,' 'Iron Maiden: '80 '81,' 'The Eric Carr Story,' and 'Touched by Magic: The Tommy Bolin Story.' 'German Metal Machine' is his 19th book overall.
'German Metal Machine: Scorpions in the '70s' is available as a paperback version [222 pages, $16.99], a Kindle download [$9.99], a Nook download [$9.99], and an iBook download [$9.99].

And with the massive success of this same tour in the States and Europe, I'm thrilled to be able to bring them to Canada!" An overwhelming 60,000 Canadian fans responded to the call to action and made their voices heard. Zoltan Bathory (guitar) of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH states: “We took this Demand Campaign everywhere. We had huge success with it in the USA, and in Europe it even won the “Arena Tour Of The Year” award… It’s not surprising in a way as it is inclusive of the fans - they vote and we are listening. What a concept, right? Nobody learns from talking, you learn from listening.” “When we did this tour last year in the USA, it was truly the Best Tour Ever. We heard from so many of our Canadian fans that really wanted to see this show – so we’re bringing it to them. Really cannot be more excited to go back – even heading east of Quebec. Faith No More’s landmark debut, We Care A Lot, which was initially released in 1985 and has been out of print for 20 years, sees an Aug. 19 reissue via Bill Gould’s Koolarrow Records.
“This was an album that started as a demo, before any label had any interest in us,” explained Faith No More bass player Bill Gould. “There were a couple of reasons we decided to release this now: first of all, it’s been 20 years since it has been commercially available. Secondly, when cleaning out my basement, I discovered the original master reels, and we all thought that resurrecting this from the original tapes would be a great way to reintroduce We Care A Lot into the world. Lastly, this has been a band effort; we are releasing this in the same way as we recorded it, deciding everything amongst ourselves and getting our hands deep into the nuts and bolts… just like we used to.”
The original 10-song album, remastered by Maor Appelbaum via the original reels Gould eluded to, is enhanced with nine bonus tracks including demo versions (taken from the original 8-track tapes) of “Greed,” “Mark Bowen,” “Arabian Disco” and “Intro,” live versions of “The Jungle” and “New Beginnings” and new mixes, via Matt Wallace, of “We Care A Lot,” “Pills for Breakfast” and “As The Worm Turns.” Liner notes from keyboard player Roddy Bottum and behind-the-scenes photos will be included with the physical release.

We Care A Lot arrived in November 1985 via Maximum RocknRoll editor Ruth Schwartz’s Mordam Records. The seminal album, boasting the timeless title track, which can still be heard daily on radio stations worldwide, confounded music fans and critics alike. As Pitchfork said in a 2015 article dubbed “The Misunderstanding of Faith No More,” the unpredictable and hard-to-define band “had radically altered the parameters of popular music years before the fabled alternative revolution.” Rolling Stone called it a "raw punk album" while Select Magazine dubbed it "a lustful marriage of mutoid metal and dance floor verve."
“When strangers ask what Faith No More is I’ve always said, ‘well, it’s kind of an art band…’ I say that mostly to distance us from the hard rock world that we’re often times lumped into. I mean, hard rock, sure, that was part of it, but our roots most definitely and pointedly stem from a specific freakout art time and place in San Francisco, a time that no longer exists. In 1982, the hippies mingled with the punks, the artists hung out with the musicians, the dance people and the punks were one and the Satanists and the sexual pioneers… all part of the same scene,” Bottum explains, colorfully setting the scene for the original inspiration for the band and We Care A Lot. “That weird SF window provided a platform from which we were free to express and cultivate a really uniquely odd sound experience. In Los Angeles, no one really cared much, but SF was always super supportive, encouraging us, directly and not, to get our collective freak on.”
“We felt like it was time to take the next step,” adds drummer Mike Bordin. “We raised as much money as we were able and booked time at Prairie Sun Studios just north of San Francisco. I can’t remember how long it took us to record the album, but not a lot, maybe a few days. The songs were sharp from having played most of them at various shows.  Very stripped down, basic as could be.  The place was on a farm in chicken country (Petaluma). Hard work, but a ton of fun too.”

With the eagerly and long awaited re-release of 'Revolution DNA' (1999), Season of Mist is now completing the reissuing of SEPTICFLESH's back catalogue. The acclaimed fifth full-length of the Greek demons was essentially a logical continuation and sharpening of the formula of its well-received predecessor 'A Fallen Temple' (1998). Their unique amalgamation of elements taken from death and gothic metal (meaning bands such as MOONSPELL and TIAMAT) with added experimental and progressive touches was taken to a new level.

While dropping the female vocals of previous releases, their captivating duels between Seth's harsh growls and Sotiris' emotional clean voice intensified. SEPTICFLESH's talent for dark atmospheres and avant-garde experimentation without losing ground contact reached a new height. It had been an adventurous musical journey that led from their savage debut EP 'Temple of the Lost Race' (1991) to the daring course taken by 'Ophidian Wheel' (1997), and through the widening of the horizon with 'A Fallen Temple' to the depths of 'Revolution DNA'. Coming from the safe harbour of traditional death metal, SEPTICFLESH soon entered more challenging waters by adding classical elements as represented by their first two full-lengths 'Mystic Places of Dawn' (1994) and 'Esoptron' (1995). Their third album 'Ophidian Wheel' witnessed the Greeks experimenting with the possibilities offered by original Gothic Metal as defined by PARADISE LOST's album 'Gothic' (1991) and the use of beautiful female vocals contrasting with harsh growls.

SEPTICFLESH were conceived by Christos and Spiros "Seth" Antoniou in Athens in the year 1990. The brothers were soon joined by guitarist Sotiris Vayenas. The debut EP 'Temple of the Lost Race' (1991) laid the foundation of a steadily rising career, which was only interrupted by a hiatus as the band members decided to go separate ways after the release of 'Sumerian Daemons' (2003). Continuous demand of their large and loyal following finally lead to a reunion in 2007, after which SEPTICFLESH firmly established themselves as a leading force of symphonic Dark Metal with critically acclaimed masterpieces 'Communion' (2008), 'The Great Mass' (2011), and 'Titan' (2014).

'Revolution DNA' comes with new artwork by Adrien Bousson approved by the band, exclusive liner-notes by Olivier "Zoltar" Badin, and bonus tracks, which were not available on the original release. The back catalogue of SEPTICFLESH will soon be completely available from Season of Mist.

JUNE 7th 2016

Kicking off his 2016 tour in Biloxi, MS on April 29 and touring almost continually right up to Halloween, in Los Angeles, Alice Cooper brings to his fans an updated show -- “Spend the Night With Alice Cooper” -- and brings his own brand of rock psycho-drama to fans both old and new, enjoying it as much as the audience does. Known as the architect of shock-rock, Cooper (in both the original Alice Cooper band and as a solo artist) has rattled the cages and undermined the authority of generations of guardians of the status quo, continuing to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn, like a great horror movie, even in an era where news can present real life shocking images.

Alice pioneered a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock.  Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors. He continues to tour regularly, year in and year out, performing shows worldwide with the dark and horror-themed theatrics that he’s best known for.

Alice’s catalog of hits and anthems, including “I’m Eighteen,” “No More Mr Nice Guy,” School’s Out,” “Elected,” “Poison,” and others, are featured in his live show, along with a mix of newer songs, album cuts, and a sequence of cover songs, tributes to his "dead drunk friends," that inspired a spin-off group, the Hollywood Vampires with friends Johnny Depp and Joe Perry.

Alice’s touring band features the three guitar attack of Nita Strauss, Tommy Henriksen and Ryan Roxie, backed by longtime bassist Chuck Garric and drummer Glen Sobel.

As he heads back out on the concert trail with his own band or with The Hollywood Vampires, Cooper insists he’s still motivated to continue touring and recording albums, as well as making time for his most recent projects, including The Hollywood Vampires, as well as narrating the CD/interactive iphone & ipad app "Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood,’  an updating of the iconic story and classic music masterpiece, and also contributing guest vocals to Wish You Were Here Symphonic, an orchestral re-imagining of Pink Floyd's classic music.

For the Hollywood Vampires, Cooper and good friend Johnny Depp got together and decided the spirit of the original Hollywood Vampires should live again (minus the drinking).  Cooper and Depp were joined by Joe Perry, an old friend of both, and producer Bob Ezrin, and the recording became a tribute to the original Vampires, featuring a host of special guest appearances. Their new album and tour offer fans non-stop, energetic rock with their single “Bad As I Am”  as well as renditions of popular classics including “My Generation,” “Whole Lotta Love,” and a “School’s Out”/“Another Brick in the Wall” medley.
For Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood, (Giants Are Small and Deutsche Grammophon/UMC), Alice Cooper lends his storytelling skills as the narrator for a combination of classical music, visual wonder, and digital play that brings an invigorating new perspective to Prokofiev’s classic. Audiences of all ages are able to experience the legendary story of the resourceful Russian boy in multiple formats as well as an immersive, interactive experience of an iPad and iPhone app designed especially for children (age 5-8).

Marking the 40th anniversary of Pink Floyd’s seminal album Wish You Were Here, Decca/UMC released a new symphonic reworking of the classic record Wish You Were Here Symphonic. Alice Cooper takes on vocal duties on classic tracks such as ‘Wish You Were Here’ and ‘Welcome to the Machine,’ with Rick Wakeman on keyboards, the London Orion Orchestra, and guitarists Stephen McElroy and Dave Fowler from Australian Pink Floyd.  Wish You Were Here Symphonic was recorded at Abbey Road Studios, where Pink Floyd recorded the original album.

As if that wasn't enough, “Nights With Alice Cooper,” Alice’s nightly radio show, is available in nearly 100 cities in the USA, Canada, Australia, and the UK. The five hour long show features his favorite classic rock songs along with his insider anecdotes about many of the artists. With his influence on rock & roll long since acknowledged, his place in rock history and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame secure, and his multiple gold & platinum albums, sold-out tours plus countless honors and career achievement awards, there is little that Alice Cooper hasn’t achieved in his remarkable career.
