W.A.S.P. SIGNS NEW RECORD DEAL
Almost six years have passed since the world saw a new studio album from Metal Icons W.A.S.P. That is about to change as W.A.S.P. has signed a new worldwide record deal with Austria's Napalm Records. W.A.S.P. will release their 15th studio album titled Golgotha this August.

"W.A.S.P. are excited to announce they have signed an exclusive recording contract with Napalm Records.  We chose Napalm for their personal belief and professional commitment to our career.  We're looking forward to years of great success together starting with the release of our upcoming album Golgotha", states W.A.S.P. front man Blackie Lawless.

Vice President of Napalm Records Thomas Caser on W.A.S.P. joining Napalm Records:

"It is a true honor to announce this signing today, a dream has come true. With their impressive career and ability to create musical masterpieces W.A.S.P have always been one of the most influential Metal bands out there since the beginning of their career. We are thrilled about the upcoming album Golgotha which will be released this summer!"

W.A.S.P. came out of the Los Angeles Metal scene in 1982 gaining notoriety for their shock rock antics. With a career spanning over 3 decades, 17 world tours, and now their 15th studio album, they are a metal band that has evolved in maturity without having lost their signature sound, unlike many of their peers from their origins.  Golgotha will continue down the path that 2007's Dominator and 2009's Babylon started on, both in production style and theme.  Six years in the making, Golgotha will undoubtedly lead the listeners on the emotionally epic undertaking that W.A.S.P. has become acclaimed for!

TWISTED SISTER DRUMMER A.J.PERO PASSES AWAY
Twisted Sister drummer A.J. Pero has passed away, the heavy-metal act announced in a statement today. The Associated Press reports that Pero was found unresponsive on a tour bus in Poughkeepsie, New York and subsequently died of an apparent heart attack. He was 55.

"Today, I lost a brother," frontman Dee Snider said in a statement to Rolling Stone. "Anthony Jude Pero passed away. A.J. was the final piece in a band that would become an international sensation and one of the greatest live rock acts to ever hit the stage. His sledgehammer assault on the drums helped drive Twisted Sister and me to greatness and inspired me to rock every single show. My heart breaks knowing I will never feel the power of his beat behind me, or turn to see his face smiling broadly from the sheer joy he got from doing what he loved. I will always remember that smile. R.I.P., my friend."

"The members of Twisted Sister are profoundly saddened to announce the untimely passing of our brother, A.J. Pero," the band wrote on their official website (via Blabbermouth). "The band, crew and most importantly the family of A.J. Pero thank you for your thoughts and prayers at this time."
Pero had been touring with a side project, Adrenaline Mob, at the time of his death. He was found on his bus unresponsive, so paramedics rushed him to a hospital but he did not make it, guitarist Jay Jay French told TMZ.

"A.J. Pero was a force, the likes of which I doubt I will ever have the chance to play in front of again," French said. "His drumming was legendary, but his heart, as a human being, was even greater. In our hearts, he will always be the engine that drove the train. I loved him and today my heart has been ripped out. R.I.P."
The Staten Island–born drummer was originally in the New York rock group Cities when he was recruited to join Twisted Sister in 1982. With Snider's crew, Pero appeared on the band's first four albums – 1982's Under the Blade, 1983's You Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll, 1984's Stay Hungry and 1985's Come Out and Play – before leaving Twisted Sister and rejoining Cities in 1986.

Pero was behind the kit on Twisted Sister's most popular tracks, "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock." The band broke up in 1988, but Pero linked back up with his former bandmates for brief reunions in 1997 and the early 2000s until they regrouped permanently in 2003 and subsequently made a pair of studio albums, 2004's Still Hungry and 2006's A Twisted Christmas. Pero was still the group's drummer at the time of his death. It's unclear whether Twisted Sister will postpone their upcoming tour dates – they're next scheduled to perform May 30th in Las Vegas, Nevada – in light of Pero's death.

In addition to Twisted Sister, Pero was also a member of the Ozzy Osbourne cover band No More Tears.

The tour features support from Animals As Leaders along with openers The Contortionist. The tour will be the band's first official set of dates following the release of "Coma Ecliptic" on July 7th.

VIP packages can be purchased at showstubs.com/btbam. General tickets will be on sale this Friday, March 20th via local ticket outlets. The entire confirmed list of dates, including Between the Buried and Me's April tour with The Atlas Moth, is available below, and at facebook.com/BTBAMofficial.

"Coma Ecliptic" is the title of Between the Buried and Me's seventh full length album, which is currently scheduled for release on July 7th, 2015 via Metal Blade Records worldwide. Once again, the band has returned with an ambitious concept album. This time, the story follows the wanderings of an unidentified man, stuck in a coma, as he journeys through his past lives. Each song is its own episode in a modern day, sort of The Twilight Zone-esque fashion. The unidentified man enters each world and is offered a choice: stay, or move on to the next in search of something better, something more "perfect." Vocalist / keyboardist Tommy Rogers spoke with Revolver Magazine for their upcoming issue, which will be on newsstands everywhere March 31st. Pick up the magazine for an exclusive first look at the album's recording process and concept. New music and pre-orders bundles will be launched on April 3rd, 2015.

MOTOR SISTER PREMIERE VIDEO "A HOLE"
The day has finally arrived and the debut from MOTOR SISTER, Ride is out now on Metal Blade Records! The album can be ordered at metalblade.com/motorsister.

Coinciding with the album's release the band is pleased to unveil their new video for the track "A Hole". The video is receiving its exclusive premiere courtesy of Billboard.com. Check out the video directed by Jack Bennett and an exclusive interview with Scott Ian HERE.

In support of the new album Ride, the band is set to play two exclusive California shows this week. March 11th at The Whisky in Los Angeles and March 12th at DNA Lounge in San Francisco, CA. With very hectic schedules the band will only be able to play select shows, so do not miss your chance to see them while you can! Check out an exclusive interview with Jim Wilson and LA Weekly.

"MOTOR SISTER is a group of musicians whose collective musical pedigrees speak for themselves." Mother Superior founder, guitarist, and vocalist Jim Wilson fronts the band, with Anthrax's Scott Ian on guitar, Pearl Aday on backing vocals, Joey Vera on bass, and John Tempesta on drums.

The group was originally assembled to jam for Scott Ian's fiftieth birthday party. Thanks to Scott's wife Pearl Aday, who has been working on her solo career with Mother Superior front man Jim Wilson for years, all it took was a quick phone call and the stage was literally set for Scott's dream gig. "I wanted to cherry-pick a set list of my favorite Mother Superior songs and get these guys together and have the concert at my house," Ian says of the event that eventually led to an album. That album became known as MOTOR SISTER's Ride.

The video for "Fork in the Road" which provides a rare glimpse into the recording of this Mother Superior favorite by MOTOR SISTER can be viewed HERE.

WHITECHAPEL UNVEILS "LET ME BURN" VIDEO
Tennessee's Whitechapel have unveiled their latest music video, today. But be warned: "Let Me Burn" isn't like other Whitechapel videos. The band collaborated with director Mitch Massie, the director behind the latest and most visually striking videos from Cattle Decapitation, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and more. Mitch Massie brought the lyrics to "Let Me Burn" to life in gloriously gory fashion; this video is not for those with a weak constitution.

Whitechapel vocalist Phil Bozeman explains: "The basis of the video is about a man, his wife and daughter. The story depicts the degradation of the man and him going insane. He kills his wife and eventually douses himself in gasoline and begs his daughter to strike the match. But the whole point of the story is that the man has everything he wants and needs, but has no control over his mind and suffers with clinical
insanity/schizophrenia and regrets everything he has done." Guitarist Alex Wade adds: "It's our first time trying a story based video versus a performance video with us playing and we're really happy with how it came out. Phil's idea for the concept of the video mixed with Mitch Massie's directing developed a very dark and sinister feel that represents the song well."

The heavy video, both sonically and visually, can be seen now, and appropriately, at blood-disgusting.com HERE.

Whitechapel will be back on the road beginning February 28th. The tour will take the band from Memphis through the Midwest on their way to Self Help Fest in San Bernardino, CA. Self Help Fest is scheduled for March 7th at the Nos Event Center and features The Devil Wears Prada, Pierce the Veil, Stick to Your Guns, The Ghost Inside, and more. SOULFLY NEW ALBUM IN THE WORKS
SOULFLY recently entered the studio with producer Matt Hyde (SLAYER, CHILDREN OF BODOM, MONSTER MAGNET, WINDS OF PLAGUE) to begin recording its tenth album for a late summer release via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

Speaking to Spotlight Report at this month's Soundwave festival in Australia, SOULFLY mainman Max Cavalera said (see video below): "The next SOULFLY comes out in August. I'm finishing the vocals right now. The music is all done. It was done with Matt Hyde in L.A., and it's incredible. [It's] a really good record. I'm very happy with this record. And I'm gonna be, probably… after the SOULFLY album comes out, I'm probably gonna be one year or a year and a half on the road for SOULFLY."

In a recent interview with SkullsNBones.com, Max Cavalera said about SOULFLY's upcoming CD: "I need to prepare a really good SOULFLY record for the fans. I really wanna do it killer. And the more time I spend writing the riffs and getting the ideas for the SOULFLY record, the better record it will be. Instead of waiting for the last minute and do it real quick… Hopefully [I can] think of some cool guests to be on the tenth record — the big tenth record. We're gonna try to make some kind of campaign about [it] — ten records; that's quite amazing. But we're gonna try to make a really cool [album]."

He continued: "We've got a really solid band. I love Marc [Rizzo, guitar], [and] I love Tony [Campos, bass]. And it looks like Zyon [Cavalera, Max's son] is gonna drum again for the next CD. So we're gonna kick his ass, [and] try to get [him to be] more in the ball with us. And we'll see how that goes."

SOULFY's ninth CD, "Savages", was released on October 1, 2013. The CD was produced by Terry Date, who is known for his work with such acts as PANTERA, DEFTONES and SOUNDGARDEN, among many others. Guest vocal appearances on "Savages" included SOULFLY bass player Tony Campos, CLUTCH's Neil Fallon, NAPALM DEATH's Mitch Harris, Jamie Hanks of I DECLARE WAR and SOULFLY mainman Max Cavalera's son Igor Cavalera (of LODY KONG).
