Need an extreme metal band that defines itself based on the antithesis of the whole absurd human religions, misanthropy and cult to former civilizations, violence, destruction and death, then let us introduce you to the band NOCTEM. So now a little history of the band.
2001 was the year NOCTEM formed, and the following year recorded their first work “Unholy blood” which was commercialized for 2 years. There were several changes to Noctem but they continued with concerts and composing new tracks, totally immersed in the search for a more personal music style. In 2004 they recorded and produced Live 2004 in own town. Again in 2007/08 there are some changes to the band, but this doesn’t stop them, they go on to release “God Among Slaves” which gained them much success with the online press and fans. They continue to tour. They sign in 2008 with record label Noisehead Records and commence their own headlining tour in such places as Spain, Portugal, France, Andorra, UK, Belgium, and Italy, gaining more notice. 2009 they record the debut “Divinity” at Vienna with collaboration from the likes of Christos Antoniou (Septic Flesh / Chaos Star) and of Leal (ex-Forever Slave). Noisehead Records released this in April and in May it was released by Relapse Records in the USA. Noctem continues to do festivals and tours and performing with such bands as Malevolent Creation (USA), Vomitory (Sweden), and Napalm Death (UK) on the spanish dates.
2010 tours Europe, supporting Incantation (USA) and Hate (Poland) in January of 2010 the band start touring Europe, supporting Incantation (USA) and Hate (Pl) in numerous countries. Their efforts are tireless. Mayones guitars from Poland becomes the sponsor for Exo guitars. In May after recording their 3rd video from Divinity, they are included on the “Collector of the King Tour” supporting acts like Ragnarok (Norway), Austria, Germany, Poland, Belgium and the Netherlands. NOCTEM soon announces their signing with “The Flaming Arts” (Hate, Septic Flesh, Blood Red Throne, Sybreed, Cattle Decapitation and many more) for worldwide representation. Also at this time Liszko straps (Poland) endorse the band with their signature models for Exo, Helion and U1. In November of this year NOCTEM tours for a 3rd time promoting their last album with Gorgoroth (Nor) and Cavus (Fin), and sharing the stage with Finntroll (Fin) and Carach Angren (NI).
2011 has the band recording sessions at Ultrasound Studios 2 in Moita, Portugal with Daniel Cardoso (Ava Inferi, Aura Noir plus more) as producer for the new album. March the band announces signing with Rising Records for worldwide release of “Oblivion”. During May, June, August and September the band destroyed national stages, perfect timing for promoting their album which was released Apr 25 in Spain, and worldwide on Jun13. After great feedback from international metal press and Metalheads, Noctem announce their appearance on “Lux Mundi Europe Tour 2011”, where they shared the stage with such well known acts as Samael, Melechesh and many more. In September they join forces with Nekronos Promotion Agency from Portugal and prestigious label Metal Blade (Behemoth, Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse, and many other well known bands). Release date for Oblivion is Oct.25 for North America. In December , the first video “The Arrival of the False Gods” was released. Again a 4 date min tour is done in the cities of Helsinki, Porvoo, Kokkola and Turku.
2012, finds they have already toured, they also join with Pest Promotions from Eastern Europe and Stigia Booking and Management (Spanish booking), getting also a new endorser, New Rock boots from Spain. And once again on an never ending tour schedule with Iberian Conquest (with Coprolith) and European Conquest, lets not forget summer scheduling of festivals like Jam Rock Fest, Czech Death Fest, Costa de Fuego, Leyendas del Rock and Motocultor Fest, sharing the stage with some mighty big names again like Guns n Roses, Marilyn Manson, In Flames, Deicide, Municipal Waste, Dark Tranquility, Suffocation and so many more…
