Review by YouFO

Hey Metalheads, been a long time since I did a review, but this was a new one for me, and it is always good to check out some new bands and their music, so that is what I intend to do. These guys are from the USA, and they are all about Metal/Death Metal/ and Doom Metal. This album is their debut and issued in cooperation with Ceremonial Records. Look for it Feb 1, 2019, or you can preorder now.

Let's give credit where credit is due, here are the band members:
Jeffrey Breden - Guitar
Jason Barron - Vocals
Dylan Kilgore - Bass
Jarrett Pritchard - Guitar
Clayton Gore - Drums

It is the band intention to create something they think is now scare in the music scene, songs with weight, atmosphere and feeling. There is a lot of history with some of the band members, but I won't go into all that here, this is a review of their debut album, and if it interests you I am sure you will check out the band.

This album "Divina Autem Et Aniles" can take you back in time, to where darkness ruled. The lyrics are based on the vocalist who went through some dark times in his life, what a better time to write some dark and doom lyrics. For me, the lyrics are a bit too depressing to listen to, I know though, that it is also a good way to heal, but putting the lyrics aside, I know, I know, not what you should do, but the music side of this album kicks some ass. It has a very powerful punch and the vocals, with those death growls, have brought back some 90's influences here. There are some other guests on this album as well that adds to it's uniqueness. While listening you can tell this was not rushed through to get it out, there was a lot of thought, and mixing, production that all went into the making of the album. Something they can be very proud of.

Here is the track listing:

Give No More
Black Ritual
Ignis Et Tempestas
Fire And Storm
Thrown To The Wolves
Reflection Of A Drowning Sun
Shadows From The Cross
When Legends Die

It is a great piece of old school influence, and I am sure if you are a doom/death metal fan, you will embrace this with open arms. Check it out..
