The opening band tonight is FROZEN CROWN, not only a first time for me, but it was Frozen Crown's first North American tour.  They are an Italian power metal band that formed in 2017 out of Milan. They know just how to put it together to give us a great night. They made for a great opening act for this tour. They played a quick set, only about 30min, but, they did play some of their tracks like "The One", "Kings", even a cover by Goo Goo Dolls, "Iris". I will add, the cover song is at a must faster, more power metal speed compared to the original, but I am not complaining, they did a great job adding their own twist to the cover. 

Stepping out next to an eager crowd is VISIONS OF ATLANTIS is an Austrian symphonic metal band formed in Bruck an der Mur, Styria, in 2000. They had quite the elaborate stage presence, with stage props like a Carribean port where pirates make port. Which after all, it makes sense for these guys, their symphonic nature has a dash of pirate theme, which the crowd absolutely loved, plus the stage presence was quite the upgrade from their previous show I saw in Vancouver, which is also great to see.  They perfomed well, and everyone in he audience felt the same way. The band was energetic and moved around the stage a lot throughout their entire set. What I enjoyed the most, other than their songs, was the interactions between Clementine Delauney and Michele Guaitoli. Their set seemed to fly by, but they played some of their hits like "Melancholy Angel" and "Legions of the Sea", while also including some of their latest material like "Hellfire" and "Armada" off their 2024 release.  I highly recommend seeing them on any tour. I have to say they were my favourite of the night. 

Now for the main event of this tour package, the one and only, KAMELOT. An American power metal band from Florida, and have been around since 1987. Now, it has been awhile since I had the chance to listen and enjoy some fantastic songs, infact, I haven't seen them live since 2019, pre-pandemic, that really feels like ages ago! I didn't know the words per say, but I raised my fists high, and cheered with those around me, who definitely knew the words and were singing each and every song without missing a beat. A lot of talent on the stage tonight, even joining forces with Frozen Crown's vocalist, Jade, showcasing her growly side to her dynamic vocal range.  That being said, the members of Kamelot brought forth their talents. The crowd was pretty stoked to see them, and listen to each song they belted out. What can I say, sometimes it is more fun to look around the room and see the response from the crowd, and I can tell you that Kamelot had them hungry for more, a fantastic evening of power metal with a dash of symphonic.
